xhld 2.99 Problem for Update & Refetch

Hi,

When I add a new RSS item using xhld 2.99, and click the "Update & Refetch" button, the following error message comes out:

"
Headlines Configuration (No.0)
Failed saving data to database for headline xxxx
XmlParse error: not well-formed (invalid token) at line 4
"

Could you please advise how to resolve this problem? thank you very much.

Problem with /modules/system/admin.php

Hi all,

When I access the following:
www.myxoops.com/modules/system/admin.php?fct=preferences

Then encountered the following error message:
"
Forbidden
You don't have permission to access /modules/system/admin.php on this server.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.
"

The file permission of /modules/system/admin.php has been set to "755".

Any hint or solution to solve this problem? thank you very very much!

The Chinese patch was added on. Please take a look at the site at your convenience, it can partially work, until you click the forum topic.

BTW, I have to let you know that, this site was moved from another hosting server, previously everything was fine.

Hi John,

Thanks a lot for your guidance.

I've checked the Admin access right, everything is set properly.

What I have to emphasize is that only those two parts(1. New Topics, 2. Latest Replied Post) can not work properly. As for other block settings by the admin, all can work well.

Blocks Administration not working properly

Hi all,

In the Blocks Administration of XOOPS 2.0.17, I defined to display the following two in the Upper Center of the page"
1. New Topics
2. Latest Replied Post

However, after the setting, it doesn't take effect now, so the upper center of the page is still empty.

How to make this setting work? thank you very much again.

Hi all,

The following error was encountered when clicking a forum topic title:

"
Error - The forum/topic you selected does not exist. Please go back and try again.
"

The above error comes out even when I create a new topic and click this new topic.

How to resolve this problem? thank you very much.

Hi all,

In my last message,I said that XOOPS 2.0.17 with that Chinese language patch could not display properly, the following are some labels display in the menu and webpage:

_MD_MARK_ALL_TOPICS _MD_MARK_READ
_MD_ADMINISTRATOR
_MD_REGISTERED_USERS
_MD_FORUMSEARCH (This one should be "Search")

Any good advice how to get rid of the above unexpected lables? thank you.

Hi all,

How to make the XOOPS 2.0.17 work properly in a full Chinese Simplified version?

I tried xoops_v2_schinese, but some part of the program still could not be displayed properly.

Usage Problem about XMLine1.0.3

I've installed XMLine1.0.3 according tohttp://xoopsforge.com/modules/xmline/readme.english.htm.

After installation(I think it should be a proper installation)
E.g.: (one example is as following)

# RSS:http://rss.xinhuanet.com/rss/it.xml
# Title: XINHUA
# URL:http://xinhuanet.com
# Description:
# Order: 1
# Online: 1
# Maximum items: 20
# Charset of XML encoding:
# Intermediate charset:
# Update time: 30

While, under XMLine, I could only see the following:

XINHUA:XinHua Net News [Update] [Expand] UP

Is the above correct? and, How to see the news' details and headline via the abotu RSS? Pls kindly advise.
