Thanks for the tip, but I don't understand how to use this module. I've installed both the module and exFrame. The installation seemed to work fine.

Quote:
Turn "Hooking block" on to the modules you want by block admin.

Anyone know how to do this? In the menu of the module it only says "Clear cache"?

Hello, this is not so difficult. Earlier reply told you what you needed to do.

Surely you must have used a ftp-client to install Xoops? Take your logo-name and rename it "logo.gif". Upload it and replace it with the original "logo.gif"-file

Let's say I want to add the option of adding commentary to a block, for instance below text or an image in a block. Are there any tutorials anywhere on how you do that?

Even more advanced: What if I have several links in a block. How can I make it so that a different commentary-field (relating to relevant link) appears below (or in chosen area) when the links are clicked? (also displaying all comments connected to that link)

Alternatively, are there any modules available that has a really simple (CLEAN!) comment-block that I can add to my pages?

Hello Kate.

Don't worry. I was all new to Xoops, just like you, a couple of weeks ago. I was a bit overwhelmed at first, but now it is all falling into place. XOOPS makes presenting and maintaining a coherent and good-looking site easy! (I've been struggling with that for YEARS) And this I can say after just a few weeks. So have a look around in the forums and documentation and you will experience the same. I got my hands dirty at once by installing and dabbling with it. I suggest you learn by experimenting, just like I did.

If you have any specific questions, don't be afraid to ask. (You can use the search prior to posting to see if your question already has been answered) I've discovered that people here are very helpfull.

Good luck!

I've looked around in the System Admin menu, but I couldn't find the answer to the following: Which exact Xoops-version have I installed on my site?

I think Forge is a nice theme for my content-driven website. I plan on using it. Anybody know how to kill this Space?

I want it to be like the right-column, no space at all.

CODE IN theme.html:
<tr>a
<td id="leftcolumn" width="173" valign="top">a
<table cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" height="100%">

Leftcolumn-part of
style.css looks like this:
td#leftcolumn {width: 177px; solid #cccccc; font-size:12px;}
td#leftcolumn th {background-color: #2F5376; color: #FFFFFF; vertical-align: middle;}
td#leftcolumn a:hover {color:#999}
td#leftcolumn div.blockTitle {background-color: #6b6c69; background-image: url(picz/t2_arrow_1.gif); background-position: left; background-repeat: no-repeat; padding: 3px; padding-left: 16px; font:10px/14px arial,helvetica,sans-serif; color:#CCC; text-decoration:none; text-transform: lowercase;}
td#leftcolumn div.blockContent {background-color: #edeeec; margin-left: 5px; margin-right: 5px; font:11px arial,sans-serif; color:#333;}
td#leftcolumn td {margin-left: 5px; margin-right: 5px; font:11px arial,sans-serif; color:#333;}

Can't find anything here. Rightcolumn-part of style.css looks very similar:

td#rightcolumn {width: 177px; solid #cccccc; font-size:12px;}
td#rightcolumn th {background-color: #FFFFFF; color: #FFFFFF; vertical-align: middle;}
td#rightcolumn a:hover {color:#999}
td#rightcolumn div.blockTitle {background-color: #6b6c69; background-image: url(picz/t2_arrow_1.gif); background-position: left; background-repeat: no-repeat; padding: 3px; padding-left: 16px; font:10px/14px arial,helvetica,sans-serif; color:#CCC; text-decoration:none; text-transform: lowercase;}
td#rightcolumn div.blockContent {margin-left: 5px; margin-right: 5px; font:11px arial,sans-serif; color:#333;}
td#rightcolumn td {margin-left: 5px; margin-right: 5px; font:11px arial,sans-serif; color:#333;}

Hey Jonas. Thanks for your time and effort helping me out. I feel kind of stupid as I still cannot make it work , even though I've set it just like in your pictures. The mainlink and sublinks just disappear when I do that.

I'm about to give up on the Multimenu now as I am quite frustrated. I hope I can play around with the Main-menu and get it the way I want. It's no problem getting sublinks to work there, maybe I even can make it look the way I want. Is it possible to change which modules appear or is module-linking in the main-menu 'compulsory'?
