Blocks dont show or change on main page

i tried changing which blocks to show on the main page and found that any changes in the admin module on the blocks made no changes. I checked the blocks module in the admin page and it showed that the blocks were showing and supposedly have been updated in the database, but didnt show up at the main page.
i tried ensuring that the check for site updates is checked in preference. There hasnt been any host changes as well. It all went well at the start.

so far these are the list of modules of the blocks that failed to show
X-forum
extcal
downloads
and some system blocks.

I've installed XOOPS 2.3.2 recently from scratch, not an update, and managed to get it running for a few days. But when i started making changes to the blocks, it doesnt show up any changes. all it says is database is successfully updated but the front page doesnt show any changes.

I've checked the permissions and they're all perfect for the blocks, but many mods such as calender, forum and such just wont show up. Another thing is, when i tried to edit the theme, it didnt even show any changes to the theme, even the words and links for the top buttons were still the same.

Although i dont think the problem is with themes as other themes show the same problem, even default. Is there any solution to this?

yeah you were right, i needed frameworks in both root folder and cbb.

I recently "installed" ( not updated) XOOPS 2.0.18. It worked well until i uploaded about 10 mods. It only detected 5. I than checked the server and it had uploaded all the files. How do I solve this problem?

Or if it takes time, how do i install a module manually? I really need to have it ready by Thursday morning.

I checked the modules that couldnt be detected and they had compatibility with XOOPS 2.0.18 . And even other modules also couldnt be detected.

How do we ban/suspend users on XOOPS portals? In my country, ips are not constant.

I have a problem with bots, they keep coming, spamming adverts in my guestbook and wasting my time to clean it. Messing things up, not following robots.txt . Not only that, the sites they advertise are offensive. They sometimes flood the server, making it slow, and recently i got hacked, might not be a bot but it somehow must've guessed the login for another admin account.

Where can i find a working logger for XOOPS and also other components there, and that also resolves ip?i am currently working on a programme to trace through proxies as some bots use proxies. I do not want to stumble on the proxy and shut it down remotely, i want to overload the bot's computer remotely.

I do have the software for overloading, but its hard to know which is the correct ip.

Even worse, i got a dateline before 1000+ people start registerring.

i am using XOOPS 2.0.13 currently. I am planning to upgrade after i can decrypt the server admin password to change the file permissions.

I use antidos,xoops protector(just installed) and XOOPS netquery i think.

I manage to find out what the main problem is. There is a database error in the forums part. I dont even have a backup of the forum database :( . What should i have in the files in the database in order for it to work??

My xcomics doesnt work, i get an error of error cant right to file(not file permissions). I checked the settings.php and it was empty.

My t-techtools doesnt work, it only displays the module index page. I checked the files and they were ok.

My Blocks Administration and blockies display blank pages. I cant even install antidos

. It doesnt say error, there isnt any icon, and it doesnt seem to have any changes after installation.

Chess replaces the index page with what match is going on on a blank page. Cant even play it also. When i go to challenges, It displays a blank page with just the match going on. No options in admin that helps to solve it.

I called my host to ask to help change file permissions for upgrading xoops(cuz i cant do it when there is 1 MySQL database for 5 SITES), And suprising enough, they said they will, but they havent even touch their coms yet.

And my site is hosted on an apache server with Cent OS.

I tried upgrading from XOOPS 2.0.13 to the newest but it keeps saying it cant right to the mainfile and some other directories. I checked permissions and it should be able to write to it.

I tried upgrading from newbb1 to newbb to but i lost all forums, post and cant create/edit forums, catogaries.

Some modules dont seem to work. Some of the modules say that it cant right to file, and on site it says i dont have permission to access it. Some modules, mess up the index everytime it is used.

Anyone here know what to do?? I did read the read mes
