I've just started using xoops, but i also had to make another set of menu, one called Navigation.
You can create a custom block and place the code inside it such as...
<a href="URL">Home</a><br>

<a href="URL">Forum</a><br>

<a href="URL">Gallery</a><br>

<a href="URL" target="_black">Links</a><br> (this one opens in a new window)

then you position one on the right and the other on the left, the weight values of 0 mean its on top, 1 mean its under 0, 2 under 1 and so on.

You can name the blocks, and the name will appear on your page

after your happy with your block, select auto format and submit.
I am using XOOPS 2.2.4

I tried multimenu but it looked a bit wierd and also didnt work as well and i would have it liked to, plus a little too complicated for just a menu

i have just add the www like you suggested, what i didn't do tho was back-up my mainfile.php, so i had to open up my mainfile.dist.php and add all the information to it and save it as mainfile.php because i had previously edited it with notepad which took all of the formating away, i dont thing server liked it, anyways i fixed that problem that was logging me off when clicking home by adding www to the

define('XOOPS_URL', 'http://mysite.com');

so that it became

define('XOOPS_URL', 'http://www.mysite.com');

works perfect now.

But out of curiosity, what causes that issue?

I have just finished set-up a XOOPS site for a team in the matrix. It is XOOPS version 2.2.4,
I believe my php is version 5, not 100% sure and im running mySQL database, probably kind obvious, but im not sure what version either.

The problem is when i log into my site everything works fine, but when i click home it seems to log me off the site, and i need to re-enter my details. It is very strange and im not sure what it could be, i am kinda new to xoops, i have used it before but this is the first time i have set it up all by myself. I couldnt find a solution on these forums or on google, please help.

I have set up a test account so you guys can see what i am talking about.
Both username and password is Test
The website ishttp://www.the-illusionists.net

much appreciated

P.S. not sure if this is needed, but the this is the code i have in my custome made navigation menu,

<span class="style2"><a href="/xoops/html">Home</a><br>
<a href="/xoops/html/modules/newbb/">Forum</a><br>
<a href="/phpbb2" target="_blank">Old Forum</a><br>
<a href="/xoops/html/modules/wmpdownloads/">Downloads</a><br>
<a href="/xoops/html/modules/xcgal//">Gallery</a><br>
<a href="ventrilo://eclipso.servebeer.com:%203784/servername=Eclipso">Ventrilo</a><br>
<a href="https://email.secureserver.net/login.php" target="_blank">Web Mail</a><br>
<a href="/xoops/html/modules/formulaire/index.php?id=3">Take The Red Pill</a><br>
<a href="/xoops/html/modules/mylinks/">Links</a><br>

I was having problems making custome blocks that incorporated links to sections on the site, a sort of custom navigation menu if you will.
For some very wierd reason the links in the menu vanished, i was left with just the title of the menu and nothing else, (it was empty), but after a suggestion in this thread to update the System module, it all worked fine! :)

I am running XOOPS 2.2.3 and Montiblack theme with the default template.

Thanks alot, i have beenstuck with this problem for a couple of days now and having been searching this forum endlesly, only to find this topic via a search on google haha :)
