I need help

I have migrated my server, and used the whm import account to do it

but now with the dns propagation already done
I get this

Quote:

Fatal error: Class 'XoopsLogger' not found in /home/zycu/public_html/class/database/databasefactory.php on line 30

I am using an old version, I know, but I hope you can still help me

the connection is working and the database seems to be fine too
as I can connect using other scrtips I have written to the same XOOPS database, but when xoops, from any page I try, I get that :(

I am running out of ideas

please help me

oh, I see
nice suggestion, but I think I explained it wrong

when I said users, I was referring to visitors, not registered users

and my objective here doing this, is to achieve more registered users! becouse I have over 15K unique visits per day and less than 50 registrations per day

I think what I need to do is to work with the sessions in some way, but don't have a clue to what to see or what to modify :(

hello everybody!

I have been tweaking a lot of things in my dedicated server to improve the performance of my site, but on main page I can't reduce the load to less than 0,8 secs, which I consider really slow considering there are only 130 connected users at the moment and I have double up my ram to 2GB RAM on a dual core xeon 3020...

I currently run it with eaccelerator, but somewhere I read xcache is a lot faster, like 15% faster, but yet, I read somewhere that it could have some troubles with some php scripts
is XOOPS one of those php scripts that may bug xcache?

what do you use? x cache or eaccelerator?

what do you recommend me?

do you have some tips on how to improve my server performance?

thanks in advance!

Hello!

I have a site made with xoops, and a very decent traffic, but my problem is the bounce rate! that is above 50% and it is incredible high! I believe it could be much lower than that.

Recently I saw an application of google, called website optimizer.

My question is if anyone here have tested it with xoops, and if so, how can I implement it? This application asks for some javascript code to be written, one at the beggining of the site, other at the end, and a lot of inline codes that will vary the content and make studies on which one performs better.
Top and above are easilly to install, but the inline javascript is the one that confuses me, as for example, if I want to see if a block works there or not, how can I include it there?

Thanks a lot

hello

I am building a module for my own usage, but I have a question that is in my mind and don't know how to resolve it yet...

I want to have three kind of registered users (beside admin)
user A
user B
and user paid-A

users will have to register chosing one of A or B, but when chosing A, they will be in fact a paid-A for a week
this is to show them how the site works and things like that... after this week, I want to automatically disable their accounts, making it a user A, without paiments, so they will only be able to see a very few things on the site, unless they pay and become a paid-A
users B will have access to other parts of the module

but I don't know how will be the easiest way on doing this

what can you suggest me?

hope I have explained my idea correctly, but my english is not very good, so no problem on reasking me something!

thanks for your help! :)
