Thank you very much for the assistance.

I will try it out and of cause, if it doesn't work, I will reply here. From your description, I believe it will do the trick that I have sought after.

Thank you so much for the assistance.

Cheers.

Thank you for the very quick reply.

As I already have created a group for the "Banned" people, I need to know how to create the Custom Block so as only the "Banned" people can see it.

create a group and named it as Banned and move all the banned users to the group

then you can make the custom block only viewable by the banned group in the group setting

This is exactly what I wish to do but can you please elaborate on the procedure on how to accomplish this.

Many thanks for the replies. Looking foward to your next reply.

Cheers.

I did do a search and not much came of this but then perhaps I was not asking the right question in the search function.

Anyway, I wish to create a Custom Block that can only be viewed by whom I choose. My main reason is so that people I ban can view their profile but not edit or change their information, also allowing the log out feature to be seen.

I want this Custom Block to be viewable by the banned section only but I cannot see where I can do this?

If I create a Custom Block and make it viewable, then all the members will be able to see it. I noticed the section where I can choose what areas I want it visible in but it does not show an alternative such as "banned".

If this is possible, can someone help me.

I hope I have this in the correct section.

Thanks in advanced.

Cheers.

Seems like no replies have been submitted for quite some time now and I was wondering how things were going?

How did the hack work on your site snow77?

There is no time for me to create a hack for this as daily life routines are far too extreme for me.

If someone has a solution to this problem, please reply.

Cheers.

Looking forward to seeing the end user product of this strange request.

The only reason why I asked was because a previous moderator was banning people left, right and centre and he never moved these members to the correct group and he never removed them from the registered group. As we have a large amount of members, searching the group members would be far more feasible to find them than go through one member at a time.

I suppose I should have added this but at the time, it didn't seem important. I haven't had the time to work on it but if someone else does, then terrific.

Waiting in anticipation.

Cheers.

I checked the FAQ's and even though it tells me how to add members to a group (which I already knew)my question is, "What members are IN a group"

For example, I want to find out who the registered members are in the "Registered Members" group. This is easy.
Go to:
Find users.
Leave all blank.
Press, "Submit"

After a long search, all the members in the "Registered Users" group is displayed.

What about Moderator or Admin groups?

I want to be able to go to "Find Users" and search for users in a group.

I can't explain it simpler and if there is no way of doing this, then perhaps a mod should be created. I will see what I can do as there is no function for this particular search.

Thanks for the help.

As I am still new to this, I am wondering how to find specific members of a group.

For example, If I want to view all the members of the Admin or Moderators group, how is this achieved? I wish this so I can actually add them into the group so they can view a particular forum.

Is there a way to actually view all the members of a particular group?

I have done a search and nothing really comes up so I assume it has not been asked before. If it has, my apologies to the staff here at XOOPS.

Cheers.

Den

I looked around the board for a welcome forum and because I couldn't find one, I decided to say hello here.

I hope you don't mind.

Anyway, I am experienced in BB boards and IP Boards and having created several themes and mods for them, I decided it was time to check out Xoops.

Different in the database but easily navigated, I feel this will be very interesting to see how I find Xoops. I hope you don't mind my ranting as I am keen to help out as much as I can.

Anyway.....hello.

Very nice looking theme. A bit bright for my likings but I am sure there are many out there that would like it.

Cheers.
