Would anyone know why when I click on a forum that I created that only a blank white page shows up. The blank page shows up inside the rest of the XOOPS template where a page should load but nothing comes up. I created the forums in the backend and gave it public status and all users have forum access. Any suggestions? Thanks.

If anyone knows exact, specific instructions on how to display the users name, and not just login name on the page after they have logged in, and can tell me where to go to edit it (i.e. backend or through dreamweaver) it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I was told to put this code:
<{if $xoops_isuser}> <{$xoops_uname}>
into the theme.html file to show the username. Well I put it into the /themes/theme.html file and nothing showed up. Then I tried and put it into the /templates_c/%%33(*&^#342theme.html.php and it shows up as <{if $xoops_isuser}> <{$xoops_uname}> on the page and does not execute the code? Any suggestions? Thanks.

Ok I am really beginning to second guess myself on whether or not I should just redo this all on my own. Each of our departments needs to have their own page, and they have to be modifyable by the heads of each dept. I do not know if there is something in the back end to modify each of the pages, or I have to "hack" XOOPS and do it myself in an external editor? Also - I would like to only allow certain groups to see certain links on this page. But I don't think that is in the realm of possiblity? Thanks.

adrock -
cant thank you enough - my last question on this is did you edit the file from the XOOPS backend or through dreamweaver or a program like that? I dontn like the xoop backend because I don't know what half of the pages are refering to. I am unsure which way to go through. Thanks again.

Tony

What is the page that you first see when you come to the XOOPS site? I know it isnt exactly index.php but what is it?
