Maybe isn't a XOOPS related issue, but it will help a lot of people with the same question.

I just want to know how to put the actual value of the dolar on my site, converted to my local currency (chilean pesos)

Any ideas? like a rss feed or something? thanks a lot!

we (you) need the output from php debug, maybe is just a god #OOPS# buggy module.

by the way do you refer to .htaccess?

No, i'm not saying XOOPS is garbage, certainly, the server is ... After I press the Finish button in a user register, or Confirm button after changinf the order of the modules or activate/desactivate/changing name, or every module that involve a submit or confirmation, I get a lot of garbage, like that:

áºgëNZ¶ŽÊtnZäÆàšªˆu'ŽêÕXòhmý1°Ëš¸nût°‚PO3Û½ÐD‡ÇÌ„Ü°äj¡Õ

}Îpgš}Ž¹ÝÔîlõ»ß8‡ž{Y†Ä즖s”Ér

obviously the page is full with it (I can't paste here), but nothing more, no debug, no tags in code view, no clue, just a lot of garbage, just like I was trying to open a binary with notepad.

But the strange thing is, that the action involved take the correct efect, the user is registered, the properties of the modules is correct, etc. So is just a anoyment to me, but is so scary for my users.

Please! any direction? I know is not a XOOPS problem... maybe. Pehaps a MIME misconfiguration? everything else works fine!

Is the same, but if you can't see the block, you have to create a new one, using the dropdown menu under Blocks > List All Blocks, in the admin section. Be sure to edit the block to suite your need, is full with usefull configurations, in the 1.4 version.

I'm loking for a working module for XOOPS 2.2.x since a long time ago... but then I realize, whats is the point? there is no useful level of integration, except with the admin pages ... so I just use a Pirj .. if you look closely to their site, there is a lot of ways to integrate with your site, including theme, popups, pasing variables, like the username etc etc .... dont be so lazy, and you will have an outstanding irc chat working in no time!

google for pirj and scripts for it. And also a popup generator should do.

either way, just install XOOPS in that folder, and the index.php (a new one, in the parent, not from xoops) should have a redirect system, like a http header, or a meta-refresh or something, don't need to use index.php from xoops...

.... home.php? what is that?

Or maybe I didn't understand you LOL

PD: if you want to move a working site, you only need to edit mainfile.php, don't forget to leave it in 444 when you finish
