I agree with Mamba. 3 modules doing pretty much the same isn't a good idea. lets merge news and AMS. Lets implement the extras from AMS into News.

If someone wants to have less options, they can check the preferences and activate or de-activate settings needed or not.

I'm using news right now but tried AMS with every new version. What I like in AMS is the Spotlight Feature, the way attachments are handled (much prettier as in news).

I asume you have both the language files available for the core and the various modules (in your case chinese and english)?

I also asume you followed the instructions that came with the xlanguage module (readme.txt)?

Then it should work...

If both language directorys are available in the core language directory, you should be able to set both chinese and english as base language through the admin menu.
Check in your cache directory if the config file is created.

Just a small remark: {SITENAME} is not an url bute the title (name) of the site. So in the URL it should be {SITEURL}

Sorry, Thesend email is correct (it includes the complete sitelink) so thats not the problem. After clicking this link the user will be send to a blanc page, however, the second email with new password is sent.

Anyhow, I tried your sugestion you wrote in the other forum post, what will show up when I include {SITENAME} in the comfirmation email is the actual NAME of my site and not the SITEURL !

I got the same problem. Blanc page after clicking on the link in the first email.
Users will receive their second email with new password, however the new password doesn't work. I tried it with my own account and what happen is that my old password still works so it never changed in a new one.

I had the same problem with 2.2. Check if you have "checked" the Gzip compression to Yes,because this causes a blank page..

No one to help me? I really need to set up this option before I can go online with my website. I need to prevent general users to view the details of my main users; also I want to prevent general users SPAM my major users with unwanted PMs. In my opinion there must be a way to handle this by setting certain permissions for users within a particulair group.

I'm looking for an option to give only users of a certain group access to view other user details within specified groups and also send messages to users within specified groups.
Couldn't find anything in the forum, modules, FAQ ... can someone please help me with this?
