Hello,
May i know is that possible for me to set the XOOPS support dual language like chinese and English? Let say i create a block with a scroll which allow user to change the language.

Or Marcans multilang hack I use it on serveral sites, and it works great. See this site, it has 3 languages:

Yes. That option exists in the module profile for XOOPS 2.2.x and it is very easy.

Is this a field on the profile that has to be enabled or added? I don't see "language" as an option anywhere in the administration for the module or user pages.

It should be added as field for the user.
I have proven it a couple of times in the local one but it is not completely 100 sure%.
This option always returns me to the original language (Spanish)


In this case, Xlanguage and SmartMultilang they will serve.

Until the development team decides to implement it for defect in XOOPS.

I have tried install it.. when make the block visible.
I just tried its example.. English and Chinese. But when i press.. chinese.. may i know why the content wont change? it still showing english?

I asume you have both the language files available for the core and the various modules (in your case chinese and english)?


I also asume you followed the instructions that came with the xlanguage module (readme.txt)?

Then it should work...

If both language directorys are available in the core language directory, you should be able to set both chinese and english as base language through the admin menu.
Check in your cache directory if the config file is created.
