If I understand you correctly when you go to the module admin, no new modules are in the list at the bottom, waiting to be installed.

I have seen a similar problem a number of times. The cause is a waiting module which has not been placed correctly. I.e. you put something in modules which is not a module. Alternatively I have also had the same problem with the Frameworks directory being out of sync with the modules waiting to be installed. I'm a bit suspicious of this Frameworks thing as there seems to be multiple conflicting versions running around and I've had to switch different versions in and out to get various modules working. Very poor.

Check the version you have. I had the same problem with wiwimod 8.1. The latest is 8.3. get it from the authors site.

Hello everyone,

I'm posting this because I didn't find any other posts about it, so I thought I'd provide you with what I did.

Basically I wanted to add the XOOPS editor framework to the 2.0.13 I had installed so that I could access WYSIWYG editors in Wiwimod 0.8.3.

Heres how I did it:

Step 1: Create the XOOPSEditor Directory

Go into {XOOPSBase}/html/class and create a directory called xoopseditor.

Step 2: Install XOOPSEditor

Download the lastest XOOPS 2.2.3 and extract ONLY the files in the html/class/xoopseditor directory into your 2.0.13 html/class/xoopseditor directory.

Step 2: Activate Editors

As described HERE mod the xoopseditor.php file to activate the editors.

Doing this enabled the editors in Wiwimod. Now I've just got to figure out how to do it for WordPress ME

Generate and upload not working in 2.2.4/PHP4

Hi all,
I'm trying to generate/upload a template for a Wiwi block which is not present after installing. The block exists ( /modules/wiwimod/templates/blocks/wiwimod_recent.html) and in my custom template set appears as needing to be created.

Trying Generate results in a Selected file does not exist) message.

Trying to upload from the blocks directory gives me a Template file wiwimod_recent.html does not need to be installed (PHP files using this template file does not exist) message.

I'm at a loss how to get the code for this block into the system. Can anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong ?

Hope this solves your problem as well.

Ok, I did some testing and found that my editor switching function in 2.2.4 had effectively been switched off in the file XOOPSBASE/class/xoopseditor.php.

Open this file in an editor and go down to the getList() function. Look for the following line and comment it out like this:
//if ( !empty($noHtml) && empty($item['nohtml']) ) continue;

I think the problem is the first expression. I'm not sure how this works with the rest of the system as this is my first hacking attempt and I'm only starting to get into xoops, so someone here may be able to get a better solution. If you do, please post it so I can apply it

Having the same issue. I've been trying to get them working in Wiwi (Wiki) as WYSIWYG is a requirement for the project. Unless I can get something happening, we will have to look at something other than xoops. Grr !

Some details: I've installed FCK Editor into a XOOPS 2.2.4 system as per instructions. I.e. into XOOPSBASE/class/xoopseditor/fckEditor. When I access the editor page in wiwi preferences FCK does show up. But if I go into the editor on a wiki page I can use the editor change option. However none of the editors barring the base XOOPS editor will appear. Something does happen as the page goes back to the server, but instead of the selected editor being downloaded, I get the default again. GRrr!

I've been trying a number of modules under PHP5 and found that they appear to be broken. DMS, Magazine, Articles, XCVS amongst others. Can anyone confirm ?
