How the heck do I do this? If I use the _blank or _new option on the link you have to enclose it in quotation marks and php takes them and adds trailing ////'s to the link.

I had the same problem adding external links to the navigation in Legend of the green dragon. Anyone have a solution for this?

Zerowan, are you sure you have the right file? It should be register.tpl not register.rtf. Maybe thats why its not working, you have the wrong file extension on it. Also make sure you are uploading it to the right directory.

/(XOOPS_DIRECTORY)/language/english/mail_template/

I am having issues removing users too from XOOPS 2.2RC. I remove the user from any group as directed in another post then delete the user. From the admin side everything looks ok and appears as though the user has been removed though the users email and username are still stored in the database. After deleting the user they can still login but cant see anything because they no longer belong to a group. Because of this when a user is deleted their email and username are still in the database they cant be recycled and used again. Do I have to manually remove the info from Mysql?

There is no date and time settings in your individual profile I am aware of, where do you see these settings?

But I did fix it. I went into the Perferences>> System >>General settings and turned off the server timezone by setting it to Greenwich mean time 0. It is the server time zone setting that is doing it. For some reason XOOPS is grabbing the server time thinking its GMT 0 and adding a -7 hour offset to it.

Edit: Doing this made the time and date display correctly while I was logged in but changed the modules date\time to -7 hours when I logged out so I had to disable the default timezone as well and now it shows correctly for all users. Apparently XOOPS is getting the correct timestamps from the server and adjusting the timezones offsets according to the servers time stamp instead of Greenwich mean time 0.

Maybe XOOPS is coded expecting the server to be set to UTC (Coordinated Universal Time). Im wondering if anyone else has had this problem. Maybe its a new issue with 2.2RC. Its kind of strange too because it didnt affect XOOPS time & date only the modules. Was there a change somewhere in the last upgrade that affected how modules get the time and date from xoops?

Today I posted some news (news module) and events in Agenda-X, all of a sudden i notice the date and time had jumped ahead about 9 hours. The system time and date is correct but now the date & time in Minical, CBB and the news postings (all modules that display date and time) are all ahead 9 hours or so. Weird thing is this only displays if logged in as admin or registered user, anonymous users see the correct date & time on everything.

Did I jack something up? Any suggestions on how to fix it without removing the modules and reinstalling everything?

I had the same problem here but with a few more issues

Email template bug

Adding the {SITEURL}tag doesnt fix it because in the email where {SITEURL}is at the bottom it doesnt show the full path either. In mine it shows (/members/) which is the subdirectory that XOOPS is in.

I guess for now addinghttp://www.4wheelers.com in front of the SITEURL tag will work. But dont forget to check the url at the bottom of the email where it shows the sitename, website url and admin email.

I looked around and didnt see anything on this subject so I hope Im posting this in the right place.

When using XOOPS to send out validation email for new accounts there are a few problems with the email sent. First the email says to click the link and Im assuming its supposed to be in html format but its not. Just text so theres no clickable link.

Second, my installation is in a subdirectory of the root of the site, 4wheelers.com/members and when the email displays the link to go to to activate it only shows /members/modules/etc,etc... It doesnt show the first part of the link: www.4wheelers.com/ is there any way to fix this?

Thirdly, when you paste the URL the email sent you in the email and modify it by adding the beginning of the site location it just goes to a blank page although it does activate the account. You get no message that your account was activated, just a white page.

Is this maybe (the first 2 problems) a problem because Im using sendmail? Should i be using something else? Im using XOOPS v2.2RC and have the hotfix applied and a few other modules but nothing fancy.

I hope Im posting this in the right place. Im am brand new to XOOPS and have to say I had zero problems with install and setup and havent read one bit of documentation. This also the first CMS program Ive used and I am very impressed.

To my question, I didnt see any option to have XOOPS remember logins (use cookies). Is this an option I overlooked or possbily another add on. I would like it if people wgo had accounts didnt have to login every time they visit. i noticed the site here doesnt have this option either but I know it is possible in PHP.

Thanks for any help you can give me.

An impressed XOOPS user.
