Hello everyone.

I've been running my very successful site, RevoGaming.net, for about a year now on the XOOPS CMS, version 2.0.13. We've had a few hitches, especially since XOOPS isn't relly suited to a gaming site, but it's beeng good so far.

All of a sudden, a day or so ago, our login on the main page stopped working. It says "thank you for logging in, <user>" but then redirects to the main page where the user is logged out again.

Is there a way to fix this problem? I've had scores of users bugging me about it now...

Yours,
Ramsey K

Will upgrading change anything on the site? Will I need to reinstall modules etc.?

I know another webmaster running their gaming site on XOOPS who would chip in another £50. This takes the money to £100 for a conversion.

New field for users to fill in?

I run a Nintendo-cenctirc website running on XOOPS 2.0.13.1, with forum module CBB 1.12.

As Nintendo has recently expanded into online gaming, they have created "friend codes" similar to Xbox Live Gamertags. I was wondering if I could create a field in the user profiles that they could use to fill in with their friend codes? Perhaps an Xbox site has done something similar with Gamertags in the past?

Hi everyone!

I'm offering £50 (GBP) for a conversion of WF-Sections into a games database.

The games database would have to use a page where publisher, developer, genre etc. could be selected from a drop-down list, which users can add new publishers and developers to from an admin section.

It would also need to have a boxart section as well as a screenshots and videos upload admin menu. Users should be able to search by publisher, developer, genre, letter etc. All this should be shown in a sort of table for every game page.

If anyone is interested please contact me:

RKobeissi (at) GMail (dot) com

Thanks.

This is a lot of money. Is anyone interested? I'm trying out the module from that Shikanga place but if that doesn't work I'm still going to come back here and pay. If you're interested, e-mail me on the e-mail above.

Hi everyone. I'm looking either for a module that already does this, or for someone to make one of these in the space of a few months. I will pay that person £50 via PayPal.

Basically, what I need is a games database module. To the user, it will display a page organised into a table with boxart, developer, publisher, title of game, genre, online capability, other console capability etc.

It is to be designed specifically for Nintendo Revolution Gaming.

The admin should be able to upload a new game simply by filling in a few fields and linking to a boxart image. Users must be able to search by developer, publisher, genre, first letter etc.

Please e-mail RKobeissi@GMail.com if interested. Thank you.

I've updated to CBB and everything's running fine at the moment. However, my site is a fixed width and the forum overlaps a little inside the center section. An example:

Forums Center Area Overlap

Is there any way to set the forums to a fixed width that will suit the site?

How do I transfer all the current forum posts etc. into CBB? I'm currently using the forum that comes with XOOPS, as I decribed above.

Hi everyone!

I'm running my website at Nintendo Revolution Gaming on XOOPS 2.0.13, and everything is for the most part working fine.

However, I get a message whenever I or any other users try to post on the forums: "An error has occured.", after which the page is reset to the previous one.

It's running the forum that comes with XOOPS (NewBB?) version 1.12. However, if necessary, I have no problem switching to a completely different forum system, even if it doesn't integrate with XOOPS. I'm just wondering if I could stay with what I have now.

I'm actually more comfortable with new forums. Anyone know some good, free forums that I can upload to my server? If possible, XOOPS integration would be even better

Thanks.
