Hello everyone.

I've been running my very successful site, RevoGaming.net, for about a year now on the XOOPS CMS, version 2.0.13. We've had a few hitches, especially since XOOPS isn't relly suited to a gaming site, but it's beeng good so far.

All of a sudden, a day or so ago, our login on the main page stopped working. It says "thank you for logging in, <user>" but then redirects to the main page where the user is logged out again.

Is there a way to fix this problem? I've had scores of users bugging me about it now...

Yours,
Ramsey K

something must have been changed for it to happen like this..

either it's the redirect from revogaming.net to www.revogaming.net/html/

or something else.. but either way that's the problem.

you have www.revogaming.net

but the modules are running fromhttp://revogaming.net/html/

notice: the www. is missing.

make sure the url in mainfile.php contains www.

One thing to add to what m0nty said that might have some impact and you might have changed without really thinking about: your .htaccess file. If you have some kind of redirect set up in it, mod_rewrite, or some other programming voodoo in your .htaccess file, it might have contributed to the problem. Just make sure not to overlook .htaccess if changing mainfile.php doesn't get you working again.
MMM...It tastes like chicken! ...
