Thanks, I'll bet that will help. My question at this point: how do I call the calculation script by entering the form html directly into the submit news box? Am I correct in assuming that the whole page is generated via php that I don't need to put php tags (open and close) in? I may be using incorrect terms and this shows how much php I need to learn.

Thanks again.

I'm building a site for my business. I'd like to find a way to install some calculators using php . I've got AMS installed on a site running 2.0.10 .

How can I build a form that will accept several variables and unit options to return a calculated figure? For example, I want to create a pipe volume calculator.

I have some idea that I would write a php script that is called by the page and returns the value. The unit multipliers would be in an array.

How am I doing so far?

Thanks!

Thanks, I just checked them and they're both set to 777. Any other thoughts?

Fresh install of 2.0.13.1. Can install modules and they work but don't show up in admin menu nor do they show as check boxes in Groups settings. I've set up a few XOOPS installs so I have an idea what to expect but not how to fix this.

Help!

Just got a site going with 2.0.13.1. I've put up a few other XOOPS sites before. When I go to admin, I only get an icon for System Admin but none of the modules which I've installed.

I can get to Groups but there are no check boxes for Module Admin rights as if I have no modules (but I do).

I have tried trashing cache/adminmenu.php and replacing but no luck.

Help please!

This just helped me too. It's too bad that the routine that checks permissions during the automated install doesn't check this.

Thanks for the quick reply. On my iMac (15") it's easy to read. But then that's why I asked for input. i just tried it on my wife's computer (windows) and I get gray letters there too. I just fixed the style sheets to work like the mac one does. I 100% agree that it looked unreadable.

I tried the Windows machine wth the fixed stylesheet and the difference is huge. Please peak at it again, if I'm not asking too much!

Interestingly, the logo aligns on left hand side on with Windows machine and on the right on the mac. I will need to spend a little time with that table. I stripped out the banner ads and plan to put in my own to fill the rest of the blue field on top.

For some time I've had my work html site . . I have been working on replacement for it : new XOOPS site .

Wondering how the white letters on the blue background look to others. I need to put more in the center of course.

Input at this time greatly appreciated. I'm planning on making my own banners and reactivating that in the upper left area using the same background color as the table.
