Searchable Database Module

Does anyone know of a Database Module that is searchable?

What I am looking for is a module that I can use to create my own database (video library, book list, etc). It would need to allow me to create the fields and being searchable is a must.

My current need is for a Records Archive Database. I have a wide variety of archived records (hard copy files) and need to be able to search by a person's name to find the appropriate archive.

Maybe I missed something in the Module Repository.

Any suggestions?

Thanks!

Yea, I think I will try another FTP package. Things didn't upload as well as I first thought and I had to go back and check every single file uploaded to make sure the filesize was the same. I had bugs around every corner. Took me quite a few hours finding all the bad uploads and reuploading them in binary. In fact, I still have a few modules not working that I need to check.

If anyone is using CuteFTP and they start uploading in binary, keep an eye on your upload method. CuteFTP will switch back to "Automatic" for some reason.

Sleep ... it's overrated.

Ok. I'm sorta back up and it was a pain in the neck too. Here are all the steps I took. Not sure what step, or steps, resolved the problem ... maybe a combination of all of them.

I was able to get a backup of the MySQL database, which saved my butt in the end.

I moved to another server totally. I don't "think" the old server was the problem, but I figured better to just make the change than waste a lot of time fighting the old server.

I installed XOOPS 2.0.10 from scratch. I did notice during my uploading via FTP (I use CuteFTP) that some of the file sizes would vary. I could not get all the way through the install, let alone get to the admin page.

I read somewhere here on the forums to transfer in binary instead of ascii. I re-uploaded all the files using binary and "most" of them maintained the same filesize. The install worked perfectly this time and I was able to get in.

I re-uploaded all the modules that were installed on the old server. I didn't bother to set any preferences at this point.

Once all the modules were installed I ran MySQLAdmin, dropped all the tables, and imported the backup I made from the old server. Other than a few formatting issues, the website is back up and running.

If anyone has any idea WHY this happened I would love to hear it.

Thanks for all the online (and offline) help.

JoN

mainfile.php appears to be fine. Just in case I uploaded a backup I had of it and I get the same problems.

If I go to index.php or user.php, I get redirected to the last page I had open in my browser.

If I go to admin.php, I get the error messages from my last post.

I put a dummy HTML file called 'test.html' in the root and I can call that file just fine.

Is there anyway to force a re-install without wiping out my database? Can I create a new database, wipe mainfile.php, and reinstall ... creating a new mainfile.php. Then (assuming it works) edit mainfile.php back to my old database?

Thanks!

I get this if I try to go straight to admin.php

Quote:
Warning: main(XOOPS_ROOT_PATH/class/xoopsblock.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /var/www/playtest/admin.php on line 28

Warning: main(): Failed opening 'XOOPS_ROOT_PATH/class/xoopsblock.php' for inclusion (include_path='.:/php/includes:/usr/share/php') in /var/www/playtest/admin.php on line 28

Warning: main(XOOPS_ROOT_PATH/class/template.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /var/www/playtest/admin.php on line 62

Fatal error: main(): Failed opening required 'XOOPS_ROOT_PATH/class/template.php' (include_path='.:/php/includes:/usr/share/php') in /var/www/playtest/admin.php on line 62

Ok ... even stranger. Try to visit the website now and it automatically takes you back to whatever page you were just viewing. Almost like the website is automatically clicking "back" for you.

HELP!

Ok, magically I'm getting something else now.

Fatal error: Cannot instantiate non-existent class: criteriacompo in /var/www/playtest/kernel/config.php on line 216

Frustrating!

Everything was working 30 minutes ago. Now I get this when I try to get to the site:

Quote:

title = Welcome to Smarty! cutoff_size = 40 [setup] bold = true
Fatal error: Cannot instantiate non-existent class: xoopsmysqldatabaseproxy in /var/www/playtest/class/database/databasefactory.php on line 30

I've reuploaded all the files. No fix.
