the file adminmenu.php inside cache folder has permissions:

is that correct?

i moved my site (to the same web server) from
directory www/xoops/....
to www/ *by copying all files to the www directory)
and then i changed the mainfile.php...

everything seem to run properly except the problem with the modules.

do u think that the problem has to do with this?

When i am trying to install amodule i get the following message: Failed to open file (i think that referes to "http://xxx/modules/system/admin.php" because this is the current url in address bar in IE.
Then is says that module installed successfully and message "Unable to write to main menu."

The issue here is that the icon of the module is not diplayed in the menu in the left side with the other icons.

Keep in mind that cache. templates_c and upload directory is set to 777 permissions..

thanx for your time...

Mithrandir

thank you for your immediate reply..

i 'll chech FAQ and i hope i won't have a problem..

hello to everyone..

i would appreciate if you could help me with the following issue.

I would like to re-install XOOPS in different folger (path) on the web server but without losing current context of my site.

Is it possible to backup the database, change some fields that store the paths and then re-connect this db to xoops..
i have the feeling that the aforemention solution is close to solution that i am looking forward to hear from you :)

thank you very much for your time..

Stelaras
