hello to everyone..

i would appreciate if you could help me with the following issue.

I would like to re-install XOOPS in different folger (path) on the web server but without losing current context of my site.

Is it possible to backup the database, change some fields that store the paths and then re-connect this db to xoops..
i have the feeling that the aforemention solution is close to solution that i am looking forward to hear from you :)

Check the FAQ section on migrating your site.

If you are still running on the same database, all you need to do is update your mainfile.php with the new physical and virtual paths.

i 'll chech FAQ and i hope i won't have a problem..

Using the same database would be ideal, so i suppose i have to change on mainfile.php as you mentioned.
