I tried to add a simple substr() call in a template and got no where. Something like:

substr( $pg, 1 )

returned nothing whereas just the variable by itself returned a value just fine.

Can I not call a PHP function within a template?

Thanks,

David

System Template Deleted When Uninstall NewBB 2.02

This is a strange one.

Under XOOPS 2.2.3a Final, when I uninstall NewBB 2.02, it also removes one of my system templates:

Deleting templates...
Template system_block_topusers.html deleted from the database. Template ID: 25
Template system_block_topusers.html deleted from the database. Template ID: 61
Template system_block_topusers.html deleted from the database. Template ID: 112

This does not occur with the version prior to 2.2.3.

Thought the problem was with newBB, but I was able to isolate it. It's an interaction between version 2.2.3 and newBB.

David

PS. Anyone know how I restore my system templates?

Can I Use xoops_imageurl in a Template in v. 2.2.3?

I have version 2.2.3a Final running.

I am trying to get a template for the main menu working that has code like:

<img src="<{$xoops_imageurl}>images/myImage.gif"

The variable <{$xoops_imageurl}> works fine in my theme.html file. But it is blank when used in the template (system_block_mainmenu.html).

Is this by design? Is there a new variable one should use?

Thanks,

David

How do I set the date format for UserInfo?

I want to specify the date format of the "Member since" and the "Last login" fields shown on a user's profile. I looked at the userinfo code in modules/profile. These fields seem to be dynamic, and I didn't see a way to specify the format.

Any ideas?

I installed 2.2.1 on 2.2.0. I followed the directions. Very smooth.

However, two modules I installed, AMS 2.41 and newBB 2 do not appear on the Main Menu.

Has something changed?

I see this error when I install piCal 0.8 under XOOPS 2.2. Is this something to be concerned about?

Notice [PHP]: Undefined index: template in file kernel/module.php line 763

That's the problem.

The error message doesn't say which module. I presume its a system module, but the module id's in the database look good, as far as I can tell.

Upgrade to 2.2 Gives "Selected Module Does Not Exist"

I turned PHP Debug on. Turned my site off.

Copied everything in the html folder in the 2.2 zip to my site. Ran the xoopsupgrade.php script.

My web site displays "Selected Module does not exist." And then the page reloads and displays the same thing.

Tried the recovery.php scripts. Same result.

I'm guessing there is a simple correction, module id change or something, I can make in the database to overcome this, but it's not intuitive looking at the tables what to tweak.

Any suggestions?

David

I read that Mambo supports the ability to have one code base for multiple web sites. Can this be done with Xoops?

If not, is there any thought toward moving in this direction?

Upgrading all my sites now that 2.2 is out would be so much nicer if I could update one folder.

News 1.3 / 1.3.1 gives "Module file for not found"

Running 2.0.10.

I've unzipped news 1.3 into my modules folder, and I see "Module File for Not Found" in Module Administration.

Same for news 1.3.1.

Other people seem to be getting this version to work. Is there a trick?
