I found the ed2k module a while back but since ed2k is not ideal for my situation I would like to ask that someone maybe hacks it to support Magnet-URI's or develop a new module for this..

Magnet-URI's are now supported by almost every p2p app, including Azureus, DC++ and emule as well..

I believe this is going to be the future of p2p, and XOOPS should be one of the pioneer cms' to support it ;)

More info about the Magnet-URI can be found at the SF.net page HERE

I would want to use it for releasing files on the distributed tracker built into the new version of Azureus, more information about Azureus in combo with magnets can be found on the official wiki HERE

If anyone is interrested in developing this definitely let me know. I am almost done with my uni, which was geared towards UI design & user friendliness.. So I could give you some proper documentation for the project if necessary!

I know, that was really stupid of me..
I already managed to mess up my website by installing the new version, but now I can't even access the admin section since I can't login anymore.. Stupid stupid stupid..

But yeah, how do I go about activating the login block again?
I looked through the database but couldn't really determine where to do this..

Any suggestions would be welcome!

putting upper part in frame?

i looking into putting the top part of a XOOPS based site into a frame since we are using flash animations in there and they reload everytime someone clicks a link..

this gets very annoying, and i thus want to solve this by putting the whole upper part into it's own frame so that they don't reload every time..

is this possible?

i haven't been able to find much on the forum about this..

i have found part of the problem it seems..

xoops is actually outputting tables for the center left & right blocks, eventhough they are empty..

shouldn't it ignore these?
i'm guessing i change the settings in our theme.html and _theme.html?

i just opened the outputted page to dreamweaver and found an emptry table at the top.. but i have no idea how to get rid of it, there seems to be nothing in the module or block config which would result in this error..

at least i'm getting the hang of this cms more and more..
still seems like the best one out there imho..

Alright, I've been busy with some other projects, so I didn't have any time to work on the XOOPS site..

I have looked into the problem, but I can't figure out where this HTML is you are referring to.. I used the standard XOOPS option to add a custom block and just typed in some text..

If you want to see what I mean check it out HERE.

I've also tried making my own module, but somehow it does not show up in the "Module for your startpage" ddlb..

I don't understand why there is no module which easily facilitates this behaviour, since most websites for companies rely on having a static mainpage with information about the company.. I have tried Enterprise-X but it is swamped with "commercials" for the maker and the name of the script, something I would rather not have on the site of course..

I finally figured out how to make a little message block at the top of the homepage by making a custom block..
The only problem I am having is that it does not actually move the table to the top, there's a space of about 100px between te top and the start of the new block..

Is there anyway I can fix this? It seems to happen no matter which page I place it on, none or news, it always leaves that space..

Am I maybe using the wrong thing?
Isn't there a way I can put text in the space that is available in the NONE page? It shows the site name & description with an empty space... this space would be perfect to use..

any ideas??

i am also looking for a portfolio module..

i need it to display screenshots per project,
if possible is there maybe another module i could mod
to acquire this functionality?

i have been taken in as an intern for a young company and i want to get them started with xoops, it will make their life
a lot easier in the future if we can stick to such a decent cms.

the link posted above does not seem to work anymore
