Yes, I am running it on a raspberry pi running raspbian. Ive checked this, and all appears to be ok but if it is like you say, I dont know how to correct it.

I am half way through the install page and I get this error at the save configuration:

Saving your system configuration
Could not open mainfile.php for reading
********************************

I have no idea how to fix this.Thanks.


I'm sure this is pretty obvious to some of the experts on here hense why I am posting, as I cant for the life of me figure out whats wrong? Any ideas would be apprecatied.

How to change "read more.." to something unique?

Blimey, not loged into here for years;)

Just a quickie, How can I edit the "Read more.." to say something like " Click me..." in the news items. I did once before but I cant for the life of me remember how I did it.

Hi,
I am in desperate need of a hack or anyway to have hotlinking on my site for avatars, is this possible with XOOPS or am I going to have to switch to another cms portal?

Any help with this matter would be appreciated as I like XOOPS as a whole and I dont really want to switch.

Maybe a future thing on/off hotlinking?

Thanks so much for responding quickly, its sods law that my vps that my site is hosted on is moveing servers so my site is currently down at the moment so i cant work on it just yet, but basicly i wanted to show my url ashttp://www.essential-m1x.co.uk/ instead ofhttp://www.essential-m1x.co.uk/modules/news/ but still have the news page showing if you get what i mean lol. I have seen it done before. As for the other questions i asked ill wait till the move of the servers is over so i can start working properly on my site with your excellent expertess:) Thanks for your time.

Yes annoying isnt it? only kidding Basicly, im not sure if I have posted this in the right part of the forum or not but im pulling my hair out over this. Im trying to figure out how to remove "Comments?" bit and "read more" etc so it just simply shows a news section with out all the other bits such as "posted by..." or "News:" I would simply like just the main
news section showing. and allso how do i show my web address as "http://www." instead of "http://www./modules/news"? Any ideas would be helpfull thanks.
