Hello all,

I was wondering if any of you have heard of a module or know of one that can be used by people for booking equipment out of a central location?

Good Morning all,

I have been using the newbb2 forums and they have been working great. Last Friday I started to have an issue with new posts not showing up when posted. Now you can see them if you go into a members recent posts however not showing in regular forums. Any suggestions?

I was having the same issue and it ended up being with my theme that was causing the site to crash all the time. What I had to do was wait until it came back up after a few hours and then go in and change the theme. That fixed the issue for me.

Hi Colin if you go into your administration menu a number of your questions will answer themselves. I was the same way as you when I first installed Xoops. The biggest choice you have to make is do you want a certain module displayed on your home page? If so you simple go into the system admin preferences general settings area and select the module in the appropriate drop down box. Then say you had news as your home page module you add edit and administer your news via the news module. There are a number of ways to put content on the home page as well without having a module selected. Custom Blocks being one that has worked well for me. As well there are a number of Modules out there see the module repository on this site that enable businesses to use XOOPS more effectively i.e. Tiny Content. I hope this helps some and makes sense. Like I said at the first the best way to initaly learn it I found was to take a look around and see what you can do in your admin area.

These Forums have proven to be a great means of communication with others in the XOOPS community and I for one am very pleased with the response time and the commitment of the community to make XOOPS the best. I am sure you will find the same.

Darren

Hi All,

I have been using XOOPS for a while now and am fairly comfy with the whole thing. On one of the sites that I look after something is happening that I have never seen before. It is the dreaded blank page thing. However I have gone through and tried the php debug nothing comes up error wise, nothing other then a blank page. I have tried to access the user.php nothing error wise comes up just a blank page same with admin.php other then you do not have access to this page being displayed. I am so lost here. The thing is after a bit the site will come back up. Anyone have any ideas as to what is going on.

Further there are three admins on the site. As well it is the first time I have done a XOOPS that is not on the root of the web would that cause an issue?
