Hey, my community makes heavy use of the calendar to schedule our many monthly events and we really needed automated reminders. Since no XOOPS calendar module to my knowledge will send out a reminder I've been left to build the function in.
I had the idea of integrating the calendar submissions with the news functionality of Xoops. When you submit an event, it will create news stories, dated to post a few days before the event. This has the nice side effect for having a nice front page announcement for any scheduled events. Then to get a notification, you just have to have your news section set to notify you.
Probably won't start on this till next week since I'm pretty busy at the moment but anyone interested in the hack for general consumption?

Well, seems I resolved it by deleting the contents of my newBB module and uploading 2.32 fresh. Fixed everything. Though that was really not the way I wanted to spend the evening ;)

*sigh* I didn't try upgrading to the 2.3 version of Xoops. I tried upgrading to the 2.3 version of CBB. My issues are all with CBB

Ok, I'm going absolutely insane here. I'm running XOOPS 2.2.3 and CBB 2.2. I've TRIED upgrading to 2.3 but I upload the files and go to module admin and click upgrade. It seems to do nothing.
The bigger issue is that I simply cannot add moderators. I go to a forum, choose who I want, click add, they go into my list. Then I click submit and they call go away leaving me with only Anonymous as my admin. Please can someone help me?

Thanks guys...I think I'm just going to do this from scratch though. It was too painful trying to trouble shoot an upgrade for a site under development. I'll just start fresh ;)

I tried going from 2.0.13.1 -> 2.2.3 and I'm hosed it seems. Here's my site :

Every block isn't visible though I can go to the forums still and see them. When I go into my admin menu, I have all of the options visible but the following take me to a blank page :

Preferences
Submit on Modules
Also if I look at the edit user option, I have 0 users...yet my database still has all 8. What do I do!?

I have the same problem. I've tried updating my custom template and using the default...neither works. Any thoughts?
