XOOPS Version: 2.0.16
Module Name/Version: System / 1.02
PHP Version: 5.x
MySQL Version: 5.x
Web Server Software (Apache/IIS/Other): Apache
Operating System: Debian Sarge
Theme you are using: n/a admin backend
Custom template: n/a admin backend
PHP Debug Messages: none
MySQL Debug Messages: none
Smarty Debug Messages: none
A full description of the issue:

When I give a user admin rights to a module it cannot change the module's settings. Only admins of the system module are allowed to change the settings of other modules. Is this intentional? And if so, how would one allow a user to have full admin rights on a module without giving him admin rights to the System module as well?
If it is not intentional, are you interested in the results if I patch this on my site?

Regards.

XOOPS Version: 2.0.13 now 2.0.16 ish
Module Name/Version: n.a. though MyAlbum-P, News and Links appropriate for 2.0.13 were installed
PHP Version: 4.3.10-16.14
MySQL Version: 4.1.11
Web Server Software (Apache/IIS/Other): Apache
Operating System: Debian
Theme you are using: n.a.
Custom template: No
PHP Debug Messages: none, admin panel not accessible
MySQL Debug Messages: none, admin panel not accessible
Smarty Debug Messages: none, admin panel not accessible
A full description of the issue:

Hi. Just did an upgrade from 2.0.13 to 2.0.16 using the full-package as per the instructions. This caused a total meltdown. For some reason the site spits out something to this extent:

) { return $this->dump'blocks' ); } function dumpExtra() { return $this->dump'extra' ); } function dumpQueries() { return $this->dump'queries' ); } /**#@-*/ /* * PHP Error handler * * NB: You're not supposed to call this function directly, if you dont understand why, then * you'd better spend some time reading your PHP manual before you hurt somebody * * @internal: Using a function and not calling the handler method directly coz old PHP versions * set_error_handler() have problems with the array( obj,methodname ) syntax */

etc. etc.

I also noticed that all of a sudden session keys are passed as a GET variable across requests.

I hope someone can help me get this upgrade on the road. Did I miss a critical addendum to the upgrade instructions?

News from different Xoops installation but same db

Hi,

On the websites I am currently making, using XOOPS 1.0.16 and News 1.44, I am using two instances of the News module. The second of these should read it's newsitems from a different site's News module. All these sites use the same database (but another table prefix obviously).

Has someone already adapted the News module to read from non-default tables? If so I'd rather use that solution than spend countless hours adapting the News module.

Regards,

I am ever so sorry: I had apparently not noticed that the block was set to only display on the top page. Apologies for the disconvenience.

Hi,

I am trying to get the most out of the Content 0.5 module. To setup a test I made 3 content pages. 2 with position "mainpage" and one having position equalling one of the other two pages.

I am having 2 problems:
- Whatever I try to do, I cannot get any subpages to display in the module's menu blocks.
- Whenever I visit a page within the content module all it's menu blocks disappear.

I hope someone has some experience with this module and is able to help me solve these issues.

Regards,

Hi,

While trying to download some WYSIWYG editors for my XOOPS 2.0.16 installation I noticed the xfmod module is not accassible. The error I am getting is:

Quote:
dbconnection failed

Good luck getting it fixed.

Regards.

Hi,

When trying to install TinyEditor 1.0 beta in XOOPS 1.0.15 I am getting the following error:

Quote:

BLOB/TEXT column 'tinyed_row1' can't have a default value

So I am guessing that the sql script installing this module isn't compatible with MySQL 5.0, huh? Can anyone think of a workaround for this? I would really like to give it a spin but cannot downgrade my database just for that purpose only.

Regards
