Hi

England is currently enjoying a nice sunny spell and I am stuck inside trying to get my head around something I haven't done before! So please help; so I can take in some rays of sunshine!

My customer wants to build an on-line fantasy sport site. The user registers to the site. To complete registration they have to pay a fee and select a team spending only a certain amount of allocated money. On a monthly basis the team would accrue points related to how well the actual team is doing in real life. Monthly the person who accrues most points that month wins a prize and then overall the person in the lead wins a prize!

So far I have got as far as needing an email client and paypal module. Can anybody point me to any modules that might help? Has anybody got any advice?

Thanks for all your help.

Rich

Hi Eric

I have a module on my site called extcal. Part of the module is a small calender with a picture above. Everytime you go elsewhere this picture refreshes. I have asked the developer whether he will edit his module and remove this part so I can use it as a picture slide show.

Will this work for you?

Hi All

Hope you've all had a splendid weekend.

Well I've sort of put a theme together. I would like comments and if anyone is willing to try it out just shout!

It is still not working right as I cannot get wf-sections to work with it and I haven't even tried other modules yet!

Thanks for your thoughts.

Rich

Hi Chip

Take a look at Debaser. I am not sure if it will help but try it out.

Debaser

Alternatively you could look at wf-section. You can add qt files etc. to the content of a page.

Hey Dave

No shame - total respect!!!

For those that want to take a look please go to Abi Studios. I am taking an interesting journey. At the start of this week I decided I wanted to start learning CSS and using it to design XOOPS sites without tables!

What I tried to do was to learn through others work and well it didn't really work and I produced nothing!!! I asked Dave at Incama to take a look and he did, offered some suggestions then encouraged me to start again using his tutorials!

I have to admit to having a prior knowledge of CSS but I am not sure if that helped! However, when I started to read Dave's tutorials then the light shone in my brain, my heart started beating wildly (ok not really!) but it was inspirational and hugely rewarding. I learnt a lot and today I have uploaded my first two themes to my web site above.

They both need work but in time that will come. Have a go it could be just the challenge you need!

Rich

P.S. The heart beating comes when my wife walks through the door - who said romance has died!

Hi

I have been looking for a module for a chat room. It seems there are only two available. PCPin which is not an official XOOPS module and Flash Chat available through Darren's Script room. This has a link to a XOOPS version but is not an official XOOPS module.

I want to be able to build a site for a friend who wants a video chat room available to him 24/7 to talk to his daughter who is a missionary in China.

Do you know of any chat room module available that will allow video conferencing? Can I build a site and then link to another site that might provide this facility? Is it possible to get a personal chat room?

I must admit I never go to chat rooms and have no idea how they work!

Thanks for the help

Rich

Hi

I have listed a link below to a css discussion list. The list has a wiki and part of the wiki is a cms/css page. XOOPS is not mentioned. I wonder whether I can post to the wiki and if anybody has a paragraph they think I can post?

CSS Discussion list and CMS

Thanks

Rich
