I've got the similar problem but instead of changing the xoops_version.php this is what I've done.

System Info:
Xoops 2.2.4 (patch from 2.2.3a)
News 1.4
Template set is cloned

Problem:
The Recent News block and Random News block appear blank or no content, just only the border of block.

Debug Info:
Template 'news_block_top.html' is not found

What I've done
1. go to Module Administration and update News module
2. go to Template set manager, select 'News (10)'
3. There are about 4 templates that appear to have no file. they are highlighed in yellow.
4. Select browse at each template that has no file
5. Choose appropriate template file in modules/news/templates/blocks
6. Click upload
7. Now, in Template Set Manager, it shows 'News (14)'
8. Everything work as it should be.

Enjoy

I've done some during in the US, about Oct/Nov last year but I'm so busy with study and exam. So, I stop it for a while and now I'm in Bangkok. I register the www.thaixoops.net and www.thaixoops.com. I think, about 50% is in thai but not all. I try to continue the work and if anyone want to join, I would be happy to create the admin account for you, just PM me.

I like XOOPS very much but need time.

PS. if the website seem to show in Chinese, please click "View->Encoding->Thai"[quote]

Hi,

I'm planing to have 2 XOOPS instance in the same domain but there are questions about user registration popup in my head.

Are there any normal way or hack way that whenever user register in one xoops, that record is automatically inserted in another xoops. Also, if user sign in to one xoops, how are they automatically sign in to another xoops.

I can do the PHP programming, if need, please point me to the files that have to be modified.

Thanks so much

Thanks brash for the reply.
I'm thinking about cloning download module just for the theme download and then display the theme change block on that.

Hi,
The XOOPS block can be set to be visible to some specific module, right? Well... I'm thinking that for example, I have 2 download categories and I would like to make one block to be appeared to only when user select one of this download category.

This is my real problem,
I create "Theme" download category in mydownload. And when user select this category, I would like the Theme change block to be visible.

Are there any hacks to do this
Thanks a lot

Hi,
I've install the multimenu module. It's very great and useful module. From the installation, there are totally 6 blocks, 1 2 3 4 and A B. There is the admin UI for manage the content of menu 1 to 4 but I couldn't find how to change the content of menu A and B. In other word, I also not understand from the readme file that say "you have now 2 "free" blocks wich you can use to select any category links."

Anyone please suggest
Thanks so much

I'm just a novice to XOOPS so this might seem to be an easy question but I don't know.

As far as I understand, the xoop's main menu will display items that link to the active-installed module, right? Well,... how about if I want additional menu items, resided in main menu, which don't link to the XOOPS module but to other program in the same site, let say wiki or photo gallery.
How could I do this?

Thank so much

Another question on "how different" and...

Well... I'm starting the thaixoops.net web site and I just finished the translation of newbb module that come with core package to Thai language. But, I have seen the newbb2-rc2 release so I'm not sure which way to go... should I wait for final newbb2 and then translate it or else?

Any Lord of the Xoops, please advice
