The XOOPS block can be set to be visible to some specific module, right? Well... I'm thinking that for example, I have 2 download categories and I would like to make one block to be appeared to only when user select one of this download category.

This is my real problem,
I create "Theme" download category in mydownload. And when user select this category, I would like the Theme change block to be visible.

Are there any hacks to do this

As you say, XOOPS can only display blocks to a module level granularity. I'm sure you'll be able to do what you want, but I know of no existing hacks that do it . Hopefully someone else can help us out here.

I'm thinking about cloning download module just for the theme download and then display the theme change block on that.
