Thanks. Not an ideal solution, but it works. Anybody have a solution where you can add the content to a block and weight it?

Well..As far as I can see, this module has no blocks active.

I have set the news-module as the default start module. All the blocks to the news module are selected not to show. But it still shows the lates news that I have posted. (http://www.replicacollector.net)Right now it is below the lates posts from the forum, and I would like it to stay on top, but this is where I am having problems as I can't seem to find this block...

I'm using the news-module as my startup-module. All the news-blocks are chosen to not be visiblke, so that I only display the topics on the first page. But if i add other block, it seems that the news are always pushed down. How can I set a weight-value to the news that is shown on the front page. As far as i can see, this is not a black, and I have not been able to find amy settings for this anywhere.

I'm using news 1.2

thanks,

Thomas

Let me re-phrase the question: I would like my guest users to see on page when they enter the site, but i would like my registered users to see another page when they log in. How can this be done?

It it possible to somehow have different startup-modules for anonymous group and membergroup? I am running a site with paid membership and would like the anonymous guests to see a frontpage that I decide. But if you are a member, and log on, I would like the startup module to be something different than what the anonymous users see. Is this possible?

heh....ok, I've cleared out the templates_c dir. After I did this, all the entries in the User menu disappeared. No help clearing out the cache either.

The skin I am using, is this;https://xoops.org/modules/library/singlefile.php?cid=1&lid=103

I'll keep trying ;)

ok, I have change it, so it is inside it's class. But it still does not show the admin menu. And what is really strange is that when i log on as an administrator, it shows up just fine. But when my co-admin log on, with limited administrator right log on, it's hidden below the Inbox-link. It's not visible, but if he moved his mouse under the inbox-link, he can access the admin-section.

I have a small problem with my user menu

With the current skin I am using, the "Administration" link disappears from the bottom of the menu. It's there, but it's not visible. I have tried to put a line-break after it, but it doesn't make any differencen. Here is what the template files looks like;
(system_block_user.html)
<table cellspacing="0">
<tr>
<td id="usermenu"><{if $xoops_isadmin}>
<a href="<{$xoops_url}>/admin.php"><{$block.lang_adminmenu}></a>
<{/if}>
<a class="menuTop" href="<{$xoops_url}>/user.php"><{$block.lang_youraccount}></a>
<a href="<{$xoops_url}>/edituser.php"><{$block.lang_editaccount}></a>
<a href="<{$xoops_url}>/notifications.php"><{$block.lang_notifications}></a>
<a href="<{$xoops_url}>/user.php?op=logout"><{$block.lang_logout}></a>
<{if $block.new_messages > 0}>
<a class="highlight" href="<{$xoops_url}>/viewpmsg.php"><{$block.lang_inbox}> (<span style="color:#ff0000; font-weight: bold;"><{$block.new_messages}></span>)</a>
<{else}>
<a href="<{$xoops_url}>/viewpmsg.php"><{$block.lang_inbox}></a>
<{/if}>
</td>
</tr>
</table>

As you can see, I have tried to add the admin-link on top, but it still shows up at the bottom, hidden.

any help would be greatly appreciated :)

Thomas
