I'm using the news-module as my startup-module. All the news-blocks are chosen to not be visiblke, so that I only display the topics on the first page. But if i add other block, it seems that the news are always pushed down. How can I set a weight-value to the news that is shown on the front page. As far as i can see, this is not a black, and I have not been able to find amy settings for this anywhere.

I'm using news 1.2

thanks,

Thomas

You should be able to go to Admin -- Blocks and assign a weight. The news block you are using should be weight 0. Make sure any other blocks you use have a weight > 0.

Well..As far as I can see, this module has no blocks active.

I have set the news-module as the default start module. All the blocks to the news module are selected not to show. But it still shows the lates news that I have posted. (http://www.replicacollector.net)Right now it is below the lates posts from the forum, and I would like it to stay on top, but this is where I am having problems as I can't seem to find this block...

I had the same problem. I'm not really good at this coding stuff but here is what I did.

In the theme.html whatever theme you're using - I found the code in red in the block and moved it to where you see it below. Please your theme.html file before trying this!
<! -----------------------------Start Center Column -<td id="centercolumn" valign="top" width="100%">

        <! --
Display center blocks if any -->
        [
color=CC0000]<{$xoops_contents}>[/color]
        <{if
$xoops_showcblock == 1}>

        <
table cellspacing="0">
          <
tr>
            <
td id="centerCcolumn" colspan="2">

            <! --
Start center-center blocks loop -->
            <{foreach
item=block from=$xoops_ccblocks}>
              <{include
file="FCTechnoBlue/theme_blockcenter_c.html"}>
            <{/foreach}>
            <! --
End center-center blocks loop -->

            </
td>
          </
tr>------------------->

Thanks. Not an ideal solution, but it works. Anybody have a solution where you can add the content to a block and weight it?
