I just upgraded my friend Windows 2000 server php 4.0.X to 4.3.10, it seems his Xoop can't work, his version is Powered by XOOPS 1.0 RC 3.0.5 © 2002 The XOOPS Project

Translated, it means the selected modules does not exist.

But it was working perfectly before I upgrade. Anyone can help?

Also how do I upgrade this XOOPS 1.0 RC 3.0.5
Seems to be pretty old

The very same version of XOOPS has been working for me for years

Since the company which offers virtual server was kinda *&()*$, so I decided to move my site to another virtual server. Then I backup all files and dump all data from database, test them on my local machine. They worked fine. Then I moved them to new virtual server. Seems working perfectly.

After weeks, I finally found two problems,
1.Doesn't show the list of all modules in admin-module-page (but those installed modules are working fine).

2. Doesn't allow me to edit users' info, including activating accounts.

For the 1st issue,
$installed_mods = XoopsModule::getInstalledModules();
in modulesadmin.php is likely incompatible with the virtual server.

For the 2nd one, might be MySQL's settings issue.

I am not good at coding at all, anyone can give me any advice? Thanks!

MySQL 3.23.58-log
PHP Version 4.3.9
register_globals On
Zend Optimizer Enabled

Made PHP debugging mode to on and found where the problem was! Some files are set as write only

Yes there should be quite a few more modules there such as Forum and polls. If they aren' appearing there, you might want to redo your installation.

Actually I did it more than 5 times...

Yes, I have installed nothing.

At System Admin => Modules, I guess there should be two tables, however, all I can see is System within a table which shows Module Version, Last Update, Active. Order, (0 = hide) and Action.

There is another column which only shows Module, Version and Action below the Submit button. I think here should be some modules?

While installing XOOPS 2.0.5 onto Mac OS X 10.3.1, I got message:

check path & URL

Could not detect the physical path to your XOOPS directory.
Virtual path is a valid URL.

The server path to your XOOPS root directory: /Users/dietcoke/Sites/snack
URL to your XOOPS root directory:http://localhost/~dietcoke/snack

*************************
I did ignored this message and installed, seems normal but only module I can access was System Admin. The list where should be shown modules only list the System Admin and the 2nd list shows nothing.

Anyone installed 2.0.5 onto Mac OS X 10.3.1? Thanks.

Unless you don't give away the block rights to not registered users to the whoisonline block, XOOPS thinks there is no guest online.

Thanks for your information. I got an answer, but a solution at last...
