Thanks DX

I have changed from URL forwarding to mapping the domain into my server -- just going down the CNAME route. Fingers crossed

Looking forward to moving forward.

Thanks again DX

Forgive me for jumping in here, but I have a similar problem that is really defying me to sort out:

I have an XOOPS installation at: www.imgonna.co.uk -- all works -well, with all functions correct

I have the domain name www.5th-way.co.uk forwarded to www.imgonna.co.uk.

If you log on via www.5th-way.co.uk all is well, until you navigate away from the site. If you return to www.5th-way.co.uk and try to log on, it processes the log on and says its OK -- BUT does not actually change to logged on status.

If you go back to www.imgonna.co.uk, log on and log off again, then the www.5th-way.co.uk log on process will work.

I guess the domain forwarding is messing round with something, but I am unlear what to try -- any suggestions???

Cheers

Glen

Not sure if this is the same problem

I have an XOOPS install: www.imgonna.co.uk which works fine.

I have a domain (www.5th-way.co.uk) which is forwarded to this domain via. Sometimes I can log in via this domain and sometimes not.

If I go back to www.imgonna.co.uk all is well.

Help?

Thanks JackJ

I've pulled down the zip and will test when I get a moment.

Hi ya

Not sure if this is the correct place..

Is it possible to add to the functionality of the members section (possible new module?)

Ideally:
User defineable fields
Search on these fields
Tel No
Personal Image

So that the Member list can be used as a searchable database of contacts?

Cheers

Glen

Excellent

I am workig on an XOOPS site at present 5th Way designed for teachers in the UK to network, swap ideas and best practice.

Ideally I am looking for a module that will allow members to seach the profile of other members. The current secion allows this, but the fields are limited. What would be nice would be the ability to add new fields and to seach on them.

Cheers

From what I can see, the biggest cause seems to be unzipping and uploading the the WRONG place.

Now this could be from ZIP/Tarballs with the wrong directory in, but the place for modules is in the modules/NAMEOFMODULE subdirectory.

Nice clean site.

Its good to see XOOPS used for other than GAME / CODE web sites.

I am beginning to implement a site aimed at teachers here in the UK so I will take inspiration from your site.
