I changed it to auto and it works fine as expected. Since "auto" presents html . . . what does the "html" selection mean or do?

URL in a block is not a hyperlink - Why?

I created a cenet block with a short amount of text in which I wanted to include a hyperlink. So at the place where I want the hyperlink I clicked the chain-link icon that has a tooltip of "url" when mouseover. I answered two questions ...the URL and the hyperlink text and the following was inserted:

Quote:
Well, crap, it is working as a link in this post why not in my site?

The syntax looked fine to me. I can see the intended markup structure like html. But instead of a hyperlink I just got the coding in my page when shown.

All you have to do is register and be active on this web-site by posting your questions, anwering someone else's question, just make a comment of someone else's post or perhaps post a querie about some ancestor you are trying to find and you can have your own gedview web-site like this samplehttp://ecomyes.com/craig/gedview/ Ancestry of U.S. Presidents and Royalty of Europe. Once you become a registered member and have at least one post completed you qualify. Then, send a private message to the webmaster for instructions!

What did I do wrong? How do I get a working hyperlink? Should I or am I required to use normal html coding to get a hyperlink? Duh, that sounds like a stupid question. Hopefully, that makes sense. What is the chain-link icon for if I need to use html?
Thanks,
Craig

That wasn't me in the other forum. I know not to double post and I did search the forums but had no luck. I'll admit I was probably too tired to effectively search well, but I apparently wasn't using a relevant search term because I found it today.

Thanks for your concern. Respectfully, . . . relax, be careful not to elevate blood pressure on the small stuff.

I found:
Quote:
http://www.yoursite.com/modules/system/admin.php?fct=groups

and

Re: Bug/Error/Newbie Mistake?
Go to the 'users' table in your database, find your admin user, and edit rank=7 and level=5, that should do it :)

In my case, my settings in the user table were already or still rank=7 and level=5. So, I tried that link while logged in as webmaster. That page came up blank the first few tries when I discovered how to get there on my site. I have my site set up without the www 3rd level domain. So, that little difference got me into the page.
http://yoursite.com/modules/system/admin.php?fct=groups
(no www prefix)
Once there I found in addition to the one block setting I had made that all the System Admin rights were unchecked. I re-checked them all and I'm back working properly.

Thanks,
Craig

I somehow screwed up my administration page so that only the modules have admin icons and controls. All the system admin links are gone. The only thing I recall doing that may have had an ill effect was modifying the webmaster group very slightly. All I did was uncheck visibility of a custom html block. I only wanted it to be visible for non-registered users so I removed the single check mark in both the webmaster group and registered users. The change did do what I intended, however, the next time I went to the admin menu I had no icon for the system.

How do I get the system admin details back into the admin menu?

What is the database table, row and setting that is set when a module is installed? I'm assuming this must get checked to decide which module icon show up on the admin page left column.

I running XOOPS 2.0.5.1, PHP 4.3.4, MySQL ver. 4.0.15-standard.

Thanks,
Craig Carman

If you have the same one I do, see http://MyGenealogy.Info, then all you have to do is unzip the contents and upload the "clock_calendar" folder (as created by the zip extract or manually, if necessary) into the modules directory on the server. The module will then appear at the bottom of your modules page in administration, then, just click on install.

I just did a new install of version 2.0.5.1. When I enter a poll I get this page:
http://ecomyes.com/xoops/modules/xoopspoll/pollresults.php?poll_id=1
with this error:
Notice: Undefined index: com_order in /home/ecomyes/public_html/xoops/include/comment_view.php on line 75

I have debug on. I have MySQL version 4.0.15

1. What is the cause and the fix for this error?
2. Also, the poll result shows in the center column too wide and overlaps into the right column. Is this part of that same error or does this non-sizing result from another error?

Thanks,
Craig Carman
