Is this reported yet?

The icons (on your left) in the admin are limited to 15 in the admin menu. When adding another one (i.e. the 16th) it doesn't show up.

Cheers,
Jack

Hiya,

Okay this is one wierd thing. While developing a block and testing it out XOOPS started behaving strangly. What also happened is that MySQL went down during this time and I have a feeling it's related to this.

What first happened is that all blocks on the main page disapeared. Another user also seems to have experiences this :

https://xoops.org/modules/newbb/viewtopic.php?topic_id=10217&forum=7#forumpost45877

To fix this I copied all files from a backup back to the root (without doing anything in the database).

This seemed to fix the blocks yet my admin block in the admin area was gone. I tracked this down to the problem that the admin block is cached (adminmenu.php) in the cache/ directory - after deleting it and typing in the raw url to the admin block I was able to fixup the group permission for all admin block entries (all persmission were to zero).

After doing all this (and sweating for a couple of hours it seems that all templates were corrupted. I finally had to put back a sql dump and restore the database.

Finally this seems to fix everything again - I'm wondering however what the hell hapenned.

This is way too wacky behaviour. Might this be related to the corrupted templates in the db that screwed up everything from the start?

Anybody got a clue why & how this could have happened? (and how to not let it happen again?)

any tips welcome!

Cheers,
Jack

Hi Guys,

simple question I guess but can't find it anywhere how to do it. I want to add another 'main menu' block, or in other words I just want to add a block in which I can put some urls to other sections of my site. E.g. the blocks on this site to your left (General information, XOOPS Wiki, etc) is just what I want.

Is there a simple way to do this, or is there a module that handles this?

Cheers,
Jack

Hi CBlue,

How do I check if I have link protection (I guess not, but is there some setting)

In the same directory doesn't work (even if I use the url for that image directly in my browser) - I DID figure out that it does include images but only if I include them in the 'images' directory of the module (which is somewhat odd and not really handy). Yet when I convert my .doc to html through word (yes I know it generates crap, but there arent any proper .doc or .rtf converters to html out there - I checked, I tried a dozen all either crash or create crap) it still doesn't show the images inlined in the doc (and the urls are the same there)

wierd eh?

Anway thanx for the reply.

Cheers,
Jack

Hiya, this is probably some setting but I can't find anything about this in the Wiki;

I'm trying to include some simple html through a module (I tried a couple C-jay content, Freecontent) but they all have the problem that images (e.g. <img src=...) do not show up. If I copy the url of the image and paste it in my browser I can't get access to them either (get a 404) - how can I fix this - is there some setting I need to change?

Thanks,
Jack
