GREEN TEA Theme has a missing JAVASCRIPT header!

I have downloaded the "Green Tea" Theme, but found that my FORUM (NewBB 2.0 Final) was broken... After some searching around, I found that the theme.html of GreenTea is missing the JAVASCRIPT Header, thus the PM, Smilies and dropdown menus in the NewBB 2.0 will not work!

It also does not have the
<{$xoops_module_header}>

section which is needed for NEWBB 2.0. Must be an old theme, no?

Any way, Here's how to fix it.

Look for the closing "head" tag: i.e. the one with the / slash before the word head (/head) in theme.html and add the following lines right above it. So that it reads like this:
<{$xoops_module_header}>

<
script type="text/javascript" language="javascript">
<!--
<{
$xoops_js}>
//-->
</script>
</
head>

This solution should work with themes that are "misbehaving" under NEWBB2.0.

Hope this help.

Sorry guys, haven't been checking the forum (nor inbox) for sometimes.

That was my first attempt in cloning a module (from "MyLink") and oobviously I did not do a very clean job and had left some "link" uncorrected.

There is now a 0.9 version of booklists. I have double-checked and clean out the "wrong directory" codes, and it should work better. You can download it here.

A Glossary function that highlight with definition

Does anyone know of any module that allow users to define new terms into a "GLOSSARY" and additionally provide a hotlink to these definition whenever the "glossaried word" appeared in the XOOPS site? The hotlink could either pop-up or balloon-up the definition of the word.

Someone told me moodle is the only CMS that provide this function. I use Wordbook currently, and this is not available on Wordbook.

Feature request: a "Glossary" that highlighted certain terms and linked them to definitions.

Thanks.

BookLists 0.9 (update)

Description:

I have cleaned up some of the codes inconsistency, and fixed the problem raised by some users who used the earlier version.

You can download the Booklists (0.9) using this link.

History (Version 0.8):

I had wanted to use the MyLinks module in XOOPS to display a recommended booklist s which showed cover shots of books, and allowed users to quickly order the books through the click of a link (I used Amazon, and BookPool) for technical books, you may have your favorite online Book sellers.

The problem I faced is that I already have MyLinks, so mixing Booklists and WebLinks is not ideal. With the addition of BookLists as a XOOPS Module, I can use both modules side by side. If you capture the book covers and upload them into "shots" firectory, you can also display the covers in Booklists much like the "Screenshots" in MyLinks.

You can think of this as a MyLinks duplicate, but I have renamed all the relevant database fields so that it is a little bit better than simply cloning MyLinks.

Thanks to CARNUKE who suggested I look into cloning it myself. "If you don't try you'll never learn."

Thanks, will check on line 93.

Read the thread you suggested, it's probably the XCgallery, I had it installed then uninstalled it. Probably took my line 93 with it! Bad gallery.

Thanks for the help.

okay, PHP Debug showed:

Fatal error: Call to a member function on a non-object in /home/virtual/site27/fst/var/www/html/room/modules/system/admin/tplsets/main.php on line 93

MYSQL/BLOCK showed:
SELECT * FROM xoops_config WHERE (conf_modid = 0 AND conf_catid = 1) ORDER BY conf_order ASC
SELECT sess_data FROM xoops_session WHERE sess_id = 'xxx I removed this xxx'
SELECT * FROM xoops_users WHERE uid=3
SELECT * FROM xoops_modules WHERE dirname = 'system'
SELECT * FROM xoops_modules WHERE dirname = 'system'
SELECT * FROM xoops_group_permission WHERE (gperm_name = 'module_admin' AND gperm_modid = 1 AND (gperm_groupid = 1 OR gperm_groupid = 2))

Did i do it right?

This issue has occured a few time before, if anyone can suggest why it's happening and how to fix it, I will be grateful. (In the past I have reinstall XOOPS to fix the issue.)

When I login to check on the template, athttp://[mysite]/modules/system/admin.php?fct=tplsets

I will see a partial box/table, like this
Resized Image
with nothing below it. I know there should be a box for me to add new template or something like that, but it appear the php files is "corrupted" after the Forzen Bubble entry...

This has happen 3-4 times before, always with a partial Templates column, and a blank Action column.

Am I the only one with the problem? Urggh

Please help...

I am the admin of a XOOPS site, and when I visit my site today, I got the following:

=============

============

The site was still function on Friday, can anyone give a suggestion on what might have happen? I am the only admin, and I did not do any maintenance on these two days. In fact I only loggin to read and logout.

Is it the problem with my web hosting company?

Thank you for any input...

It is possible to clone modules of course; essentially you need to change the tables created in the database, named constants etc. to avoid conflicts, . Do a search for clone module. If you have some experience, you may be able to do this

Hey, thanks for the suggestion and "challenge." I tried and here is the BOOKLISTS module. Hope ONOKAZU don't mind.

download BOOKLISTS 0.8
NEW NOTE: if you downloaded the file before April 18 2004, please download it again. I have fixed the "blank page" bug...

============================
DESCRIPTION:
I wanted to use the LINK module in XOOPS to display a recommended booklist wich show cover shot of the book, and recommend users of my site to online bookstore such as Amazon or BN.

Using the LINK to cover both books and URL is too cumbersome, and I lose the ability to show a BOOK LISTS item on the menu.

CARNUKE suggested I look into cloning it myself, and this is the result of that.

BOOKLISTS is basically the same as LINK, but modified to store the book title in a separte database, and will now accept book titles recommedation, In place of the "Screenshots" in LINK, you can show the book cover shots.

Have fun using. I don't intend to support this (since I am not really a coder), but if you find typo errors, I will be happy to correct them.
