Thanks - I'll fix the error in the static tour.

As far as something being "fish", a couple of other typos in the poll, and an error in the heading "friendlidliest" - I can't seem to fix those. Every time I go in to make the correction the system says "database succesfully updated" but the updates never show!

Thanks for the comments.

I've fixed the error in the tour and removed the intro.

I know that I should give the site less forums, but I'm having such a hard time cutting any of them out. We'll see. . .

Feel free to use my FAQs and Tour. The tour was my own idea. Some of the faqs were my own and some were from the faqs of phpbb.

Cheers,
MaFunk

I built this site as a Christmas gift to family members. It is my first XOOPS powered site. It's got a super cheesey, low-tech intro that I plan on removing after the holidays.

This is what I would like to know:
1) How long did it take the "intro" to load for you - or did you just skip it?
2) Once you got in to the main site, what was your first impression? (pretend like you are a freind or family member who just received a christmas card inviting you to join this site) Cute - stupid - boring - interesting?
3) FYI the site is called funkycrawdad because funk is our last name.

Cheers,
MaFunk

Regardless of weather I am logged in as webmaster or another group I CAN NOT view member accounts. This means that visitors can't pm eachother or anything.

I have the correct rights turned on in blocks and groups, but it's just now working.

When you click on "Members" or "View Account" or the username of a particular member (from a post) - this is the error message (with php dibug on):
This page cannot be displayed due to an internal error.

If you are the administrator of this site, please visit the XOOPS Troubleshooting Page for assistance.

I edited a couple of member accounts and now whenever I try to view them I get an error message.

When php-debug is on this is the error message that I get when trying to view member accounts:

Another Banner Question from Newbie

I just installed XOOPS and and love it! I'm not to good with php, but I can muddle through if I have enought documentation/guidance.

I tried to replace the default flash banner on my XOOPS site with a plain gif. Now what happens is when you first come to the page you see the flash banner. Then if you press refresh the flash banner goes away and you see the logo. I've read the forums for my questions, but am too dense to figure the answer from what I read.

For Now, can you tell me:
1) How do I get rid of the flash banner and just have a gif banner?

The site is still under construction and can be seen here:
http://www.funkycrawdad.com/forum
For future:
1) Is there anyway to access the fla file of the default banner to customize it to my site? Right now I only see a swish file.

Thanks,
MaFunk
