a) Thanks!!

b) In the preferences for the Forum, there is no area to select editors. That area exists in other modules (Articles) but I can find it in the newbb.

I was able to remove the Kovi editor so I'm happy. Thanks again!

Could someone please tell me how to disable the KOVI editor as a choice when posting in newbb2? If I can't get a fix for it, I need to disable it...

Thanks!

HHi Gang,

I have a fresh install of XOOPS and the newbb module. When users post a message in the forums (newbb) using the Kovi editor, the posts are not displayed correctly and have html code in them.

This is what I type into the editor
Quote:

This is a test of bold (the word bold is bolded)

2nd paragraph

link (this is a link to another site)

This is what is displayed in newbb:
<p>This is a test of <strong>bold</strong></p><p>2nd paragraph</p><p><a href="http://honor.wiretheskyblue.com">link</a></p>

Is there a setting somewhere that I'm missing? I couldn't find anything on this in the forums. If this is a known problem, is there a way I can disable the Kovi editor in the forums?

Well, I updated from version 2.2.3a to version 2.2.4 in the hopes that it would fix the problem. Unfortunately, I'm still getting the error. Anyone out there with a suggestion?

Have you tried turning them on?
Set your custom sessions for an hour. It's worth a try.

Thanks for the suggestion Clever/Lisa. I just tried turning on the sessions with a 60 minute duration and a 15 minute duration. I then emptied the session table. Both configurations provide the same results - the token error.

Unlike the post from ToddHerrold above, I get the error message every time anyone tries to add a notification in both IE and Firefox.

I must admit to some frustration that this has been going on since November and we've not even received any recognition of the problem from a developer.

Notifications are important to our site. They are the "hook" to get people back to visit. Without them, our membership think that the site is stagnant and don't come back.

Thanks for the suggestion Todd. Unfortunately, I've tried that several times without success. Tried it again after reading your post - no luck. Is this a known bug that the developers are working on? Does anyone know?

Are there any kind people out there who are in the Holiday spirit and might like to suggest a fix for this?
