What version of Common Utilities and MyWords are you using?

Today I open the ITG Energy Mexico website that was a great challenge in every aspect, but especially programming and moding a lot of parts of it.

The freatures of the site are:

- Totally responsive
- SEO Friendly
- HTML 5 and CSS3 based
- XOOPS 2.5.7.2
- Common Utilities 2.3.2.5
- xThemes 1.6.3.6

You can control many kind of features from the admin panel with the help of xThemes and Common Utilities, this features are the next:

- You can change the colors of the entire site
- You can control the main slider and all the elements; even you can create as many sliders you want. The main slider use Revolution Slider.
- Manage and control de content of the main page and some sections including blocks and images.
- Add or delete client logos from the footer page.
- You can add Google Analytics script and some script for live chat like Zopim or any other you want. Only put the script code in admin theme.
- You can control the links of all your social networks.
- Create menus and sub menus in header and footer page.
- Control the carousels of main page from admin.
- Projects and news in main page without a block.
- Capacity for show information and menus for subscribe users only depending on group.
- And many other stuff...

The modules used in the site are:

- Professional Works
- Quick Pages
- Oledrion (v 2.0 en español)
- SmartFAQ
- xForms

Thanks to the XOOPS Community and especially thanks to BitCero for the great modules, and the support on it. That web site is the result.

Finally I would like to say: Believe, XOOPS is great!

I strongly recommend use PHP 5.6 with the last release of Common Utilities wich is 2.3.2.5 (as far as I know).

If your are testing or making a project in local, try to use Wamp Server (x32 or x64) it works really well and it's prepared for XOOPS (I guess). I was using XAMPP before, but since the last release everything goes bad so I decide to move on to Wamp Server.

I'm using the next modules and characteristics for testing without errors:

- XOOPS 2.5.7.2
- Common Utilities 2.3.2.5
- xThemes 1.6.3.6
- MyWord 2.2.5.4
- Professional Works 2.2.1.8 RC
- PHP 5.6.16
- MySQL 5.7.9

If you use xThemes, sometimes could show a blank page in your site, but you just have to delete in xoops_cache the file xoops_XXXXXX_system_modules_active.php and reload the site again, and that solve the problem forever.

Finally if you don't have the last release of XOOPS Mexico modules, visit Red Mexico and bitcero repositories in GitHub.

I think that happens because you put that code in themes.html and at the same time, in content.html

I guess you have two solutions fo this:

Fist, configure your module or your block for showing only in main page.
Second, delete the code only in content.html if you only want to show that info in main page.

After that if you can't see the changes, try to delete everything (except the index.html) from xoops_data/caches/smarty_compile.

I hope this solve your problem.

I'm using PHP 5.6.16 and MySQL 5.7.9, and I don't have many errors with modules. Even I'm using Oledrion 2.0 in one huge project.

In your case with Polyglot, firts you need to install Common Utilities wich you can download from here:

https://github.com/bitcero/rmcommon

Remember to read the "readme" file for know about the instalation of it.

Then you need to copy polyglot into the module in "plugins" folder.

Finally remember this two things:

Polyglot is in alpha test, so some errors could appear, and second, for the moment polyglot only works for MyWords postings (you need to install MyWords) and for some translations of themes, especially if your theme is made with xThemes.

Hi everybody.

Sometimes in my web pages I used WebShow module. It works really fine, even with the most recent versions of XOOPS. But I dont know if the development of this module has stopped. The last version of the module that I got is the 0.71 beta. The page that had the development of this module has disappeared which is very difficult to get or know of new versions.

I think that this is one or maybe the best module for multimedia content of all kinds, the "the all in one" multimedia module. But the development is not finished.

For this reason I wonder if someone will continue the development of this module. Or is it planned for version 2.6 of XOOPS.

Well I've found some good theme that you can use. But you have to test it or much better, to decide wich one you like for your page. But in the end, I think its much better to modify some free template; sometimes I do that, or try to inspire my self and make some new one.

First I found this page:

Here, the first option, the red one, I think is good for wthat you want, but you can look inside the page for another good themes too.

The other one is:
XOOPS-DEMO

This are good themes too, I really like all the themes, but for what you want, maybe you got a take a lok for XDBiz, or XDUrban, XDBus, XDGalley or XDHeaven.

The third option was give it to you for Cesag. In the page try found in the XOOPS PAGE option and I think you will found some interesting themes, like Elegans themes, maybe this is the most perfect for the job you want.

This is the second time that I made a custom template and have this problem.

When I login into my site, the theme dont display any message of any type. This happen with the modules too.

I modify a template I buy (HTML and CSS) and everything was OK, all works fine, just the system_redirect.html show me nothing at all.

I create the folder in the theme and copy another custom redirect page (XOOPS_ROOT_PATH/themes/theme_name/modules/system/system_redirect.html) but dont work.

I try to put any html file in the folder of the theme but nothing happens, and I dont know what Im doing wrong. Even I try to put the same redirect file of the system module but still dont work.

Can anyone help me? Thanks for everything.

Hi flipse, thanks for answer, thats exactly what Im looking for, the file where that lines are, 'cause I identify the problem, but didnt know where file was the problem.

Apparently, XOOPS takes the date/time format like "Y-n-j G:i:s" and when probably somebody make the traduction to spanish changes the format to "j/n/Y G:i:s" and thats makes news crash in date/time system.

Hi again mamba. And again with the same problem. I found something innusual. In english version of XOOPS, the modules works fine with the date/time system, and the other modules too,but in spanish Im having the same problem again.

And happen anothen problem on XOOPS 2.5.5; using news 1.66 module, when Im writing a new articule, in the section of "date/time" I can display the calendar, and everything looks well (considering that in fact, february show 40 days), even I can click on a date and get the correct date. But when I press for a preview, it show me the date of publish like "1/1/1970" again. This happens when I want to edit an article too.

Do you know what can I do to solve the problem? Thanks fo everything.
