Thanks, I wasn't aware of the template overwriting feature, just been using older versions of XOOPs for a while and was so used to just modifying files in templates_c.

Cheers,

Problems with templates_c

I've recently installed version 2.0.15 of XOOPS and all went well. I'm trying to modify the files in templates_c for the following modules:

Forum
Liaise
Tiny Content

In Forum I'm just trying to insert an image for the title and get rid of a couple of display items like the time and date, in Liaise I'm also trying to insert an image and in Tiny Content I'm trying to get rid of the email and print icons. Up until now I've been able to do this successfully with every version of XOOPS I've tried but no matter what I do, my modifications do not show up. I'm emptied my browser cache, deleted and overwritten the files I am modifying in templates_c, and my folder permissions are set to 777. What is going on? Any idea?

Thanks.

Hi Bender,

That's exactly the problem, the sites from my host default tohttp://sitename.com. Thanks for the quick solution!

P.S. Futurama is one of my all time favorite shows, every time they restart the series on Cartoon Network I say that I'm not going to watch it again but always end up doing so.

Hi there,

I've recently created a XOOPS site for a client who wishes to do their own maintenence. They log in as usual but when they try to get to the admin area via admin.php it says they don't have permission to do that. If they authenticate a second time it lets them in, no problem.

The site is running on version 2.0.13.1, but I've noticed this problem in earlier versions. Is there a fix for this, or is an upgrade in order?

Thanks.

Hi there,

Does anyone know how to reset the page ID number in Tiny Content back to 1? I did some test pages and would like to start over and would rather have the page ID's starting from 1.

Thanks in advance for any help!

There is also a nice marquee module available for XOOPS, as you seem to have a few running on your site.

Marquee Module Problem

Greetings all,

I upgraded to XOOPS 2.2 and everything seems to be working well so far except the Marquee module (ver. 1.3). In the Blocks menu there is only a choice to display Marquee 04 which is somewhat unusual since there is usually a choice of 01, 02, 03 etc. I did try creating a marquee 04 but when I go to edit the block properties the "Submit" button is missing.

I suspect that an update needs to occur to fix this problem but any suggestions are welcome. I'm sure there are others out there who use this module and may have also upgraded.

Cheers

An update to my ongoing problem. When I go to my blocks administration page I can view the content of my custom blocks but cannot delete them (thought I might try to re-create them). When I try to delete them I get the usual page "Are you sure you want to delete block (block name)?", yet the usual Yes and Cancel buttons are no longer there. Furthermore, in the Blocks Admin page there is no longer the editor at the bottom to create a custom block.

Aigh!
