No images, menus not vertical in themes in 2.0.18

I have been running a couple XOOPS sites from about 2.0.12 on up to 2.0.17 with great success.

I just created a brand new site with a fresh install of 2.0.18. Install went fine.
But I'm having a couple strange bugs:
1) There don't seem to be any thumbnails/images. No logo image at the top of the default (or any other) theme (I have verified logo.gif is present in the themes/default folder). No thumbnail images for modules on the admin page (but the links are there - the menus pop out when I hover over the right spot).
2) Many themes (phpkaox, fiapple blue, fisubgrey) aren't showing the menus in a vertical column, just a wrapping list. (default theme seems to be fine). No idea if this is related to problem 1) but thought I'd include it in case since I don't have this problem on other sites.

Any ideas?

What type/name cookie does Xoops use?

Some of my users use the store username in a cookie for 1 year option. But apparently that cookie is getting erased by their Spyware software. Does anyone know the type of cookie XOOPS uses so they can set the software to allow it?

Thanks!

I've gotten a couple reports that this issue started after people updated to the latest version of McAfee antivirus. But others have the issue without McAfee.

I am having the same problem after upgrading to 2.0.16. No other changes were made. I've tried repairing all the databases listed above with no improvement. I have always used a custom session of 60 minutes, and have tried reducing that to 45 minutes.

It only seems to be happening to a handful of my 650 users.

Any other ideas?
Thanks!

eljkmw,

I ended up not using Formulize for that function. I imported a .csv file of users to create my user database, then Herve hacked some XOOPS core files for me to identify users who hadn't registered yet to force them to register. So can't really help you with the RegCode or Formulize for that.

I have 6 themes for my users to choose from, with my favorite set in the admin as the default.

Is there a way for a registered user to set their personal default theme so they don't have to select their favorite every time they access the site?

Oh good, it was the obvious - there was an index.html. Instead of overwriting files for the upgrade I deleted and then upload. The host server must have created a default index.html between those two actions.

Thanks!

I upgraded two sites from 2.0.13.2 to 2.0.15. On both sites when I go to the root address (www.mysite.com) I am returned to the previous page in my browser. This occurs in IE6 and Firefox 1.5 when going to the root page from an outside page (i.e. Google) or an internal page.

As long as the page address includes the actual www.mysite.com/index.php address it works fine.

Clearing sessions in the database and installing the 2.0.13.2 class/xoopsform/form.php didn't help. xoops_md5.php is not showing any missing/corrupt files.

Note I am not getting a blank page, I am being returned to the referring/previous page.

Pop-up debug (PHPDebug is no longer there?) gives:

SELECT * FROM xoops_config WHERE (conf_modid = '0' AND conf_catid = '1') ORDER BY conf_order ASC
SELECT sess_data FROM xoops_session WHERE sess_id = '47404a0f834916bc957b2169f099c795'
SELECT * FROM xoops_users WHERE uid=1
SELECT * FROM xoops_modules WHERE dirname = 'system'
Total: 4 queries

Token Validation: No valid token found in request/session
Included files: 33 files
Memory usage: 1935288 bytes

XOOPS took 0.063 seconds to load.
XOOPS Boot took 0.049 seconds to load.
Module init took 0.014 seconds to load.

Formulize plug - very powerful module (especially for those better at PHP than me, which is probably most of you) with outstanding support from Julian and gang.
