Just a guess - check what happens when using the XOOPS default theme - same thing?
Also check the blank age FAQ and if you can't work it out please give more details according to the read before you post - we really need to know what error messages there are.

I think you might find something if you searched for an 'address book' or 'yellow pages' module.

I don't lnow any of these modules - but the easy way is to turn off and uninstall the possibles and get all working how you like it. The install them one at a time and see what happens.

Have you made news blocks visible via admin - blocks? You might also make sure news is set as your start page in your blocks admin.

To switch on debug, go to system admin-->preferences and then general settings. You will see a "Debug mode" field. Choose "PHP Debug". Then go to the page that has problems and copy and paste any error messages under php-debug messages in the template below.
When posting any debug messages please 'wrap' the message like this: Use the word 'code' in square brackrets [] and at the end put /code in square brackets.

First you should consider upgrading the sites to 2.0.16. That being said without knowing the specific name and version of the module you are using to create sections we can be of little help.
