I was adding some event using Mozila FireFox Browser (http://www.mozilla.org/products/firefox/)into my Agenda-X 2.2.0

To my surprise the editor came up with the spaw editor window, with all the functionality to do wysiwyg editing.

Then I tried to edit articles in WF-sections, but the spaw editor did not show up.

Then I tried to spoof by installing user agent switcher ,

so that the browser identifies as Internet Explorer:
http://useragentswitcher.mozdev.org/

Then the Spaw editor pops up in WF-sections, but the input screen is blocked. ;-(

It must be possible to get it working though, since it works in Agenda-x

We are working on setting up a site for a magazine as well.

We are all using Mac, so Spaw does not work.

Isn't there a way to use the XOOPS editor with just a few preset stylesheets for the text, like bodytext, headline, subhead, caption.

I don't want the editors to have all the freedom they get in the current editor module.

Hi All,

I managed to get phpadsnew installed in my xoops. Last time, I must have downloaded the non-xoops version, so that is why I did not get very far.

Now I'm puzzling on the configuration, but it all seems doable.

Thanks for the advice.

Best Regards,

Marco

Hi Solo,

With regards to the user interface of multimenu.

I do not understand why you have to switch on the multimenu in two locations:
1. In the module, where there is a status of "on" and "off"
2. In the blocks

Perhaps for dummies like me, you can write a note in the Multi Menu Administration interface:
NOTE: To make the multimenu visible, please enable the access in the blocks administration

Best Regards,

Marco

I have tried to install phpadsnew, but do not get very far. The module shows up with a question mark in my modules installation page.

Even the download of phpadsnew is not very clear, so perhaps i downloaded one that is not XOOPS compatible.

Can anybody suggest where to download and how to install with xoops.

The phpadsnew manual does not mention anything about xoops.

Best Regards,

Marco

Hi,

I have tried out multiMenu 1.3.1 and 1.4B, but it took me a while to figure out that I have to switch on the menu in the blocks window.

Now everything is working

Marco

Hi Simeon,

Do you know where to download a proper version of phpadsnew?

When I install my downloaded version, I get a question mark in my modules list.

Where can I find proper information on how to install and integrate phpadsnew with xoops?

Best Regards,

Marco

donwload a standalone "phpadsnew" and put the generated code for your zone into the theme.html where the XOOPS banner is.
works like a charm on my site.
and phpadsnew fits all needs for a adserver i think

Thanks for the suggestion.

I am working on a community site, which has a lot of pages and potentially a lot of places to put the ads. The administration and placement of the ads needs to be done by a layman, so an ad management system would be useful.

I have looked at PHPAdsNew, but it does not work with XOOPS directly. I have to find the manual, for installation into xoops, which was written somewhere on the net.

Best Regards,

Marco
