Unavailable, yup, you would have to try and access whilst I rebooted
I've found one Superspotlight... not what I wanted. BUT I'm going to download the official 2.2. I think I found a beta...

Tinkering with both Lykos Blocks and Spotlight 2.1 (2.2 doesn't seem available anywhere for download).

The Test Site

What I'm trying to do, is show 5 recent news articles, or wf-sections articles, together, in the same block, in date order.

Okay, lets just ignore wf-sections for now.

I want something similar to the News module, but in a block showing the 5 most recent artices.

News Title (DD/MM/YYYY) format)
This is where the text of the new acticle goes. It'd perhaps contain a specific number of letters before tailing off...
Read More | 1 comments | write comment

Both the title of the news and the Read More would take you there, as would the comments. Write comment only available to registered users, maybe.

This would be for ALL topics, together.

I can't get Lykos Blocks to show all topics, just the one.
I can't get Spotlight to show all the info I want. I just can't quite work it out.

I've stripped off the Spotlight Image, see My Live Website for that.

Please help!
Thanks!

XCgal lets you limit per group also. Give members chance to have their own galleries.

Not too sure about intergration (check forums) but I use PHPAdsNew 2.0.

It's standalone, and very functional. You can see this running at my site, CheshAIR.com. It can show ads, google ads, flash (although I've not had success with flash and links working).

The code for the ads can be put into a block and be added to the permissions. On my site, only guests see the ads, they are not visible to registered users, although I may change that if I can make the ads less intrusive, like living down the right hand side of the screen away from main text.

Yup, that's what I thought. I just hope I've not modified too many core files whilst I've been installing hacks.

In my stupidity I never made a test site for my XOOPS site, I just tinkered with the original. I'm about to move my site from my Home Server to a pro server. I thought it's about time to try a fresh install without loosing anything.

Can this be done? I was going to start with a fresh install of 2.0.9.2, check which of my files are newer and copy them. Then just copy the database straight across.

Any suggestions are welcome!

I am using NewBB 2.0 Final.

When a user replys to a post, the previous posts have code in em.

Resized Image

Any idea what causes this?

Check out RazorBlue. They charge £19.99 for a 512k connection with no port blocks, so you can host from home. PLUS that included 100Mb of hosting (php 4 or 5, mysql, blah blah).

For another £1.99 per month this storage space can be upgraded to 500Mb.

I've just switched over to them, you can check my website out athttp://www.cheshair.com

I've been hosting from home for about 2 years now, I've decived that although it's convenient, I'd like my computer back! The fact that I can get hosting free with my ADSL line means that as soon as my domain name transfer goes through, the site will no longer be hosted at home.

At the moment, the site is hosted on a 2.4Ghz P4, 1Gb of RAM. It is NOT dedicated, and runs P2P software, and much more on my 512/256 line. I'm using TSW software with Php4 as it includes a web panel for changing hosting settings online. This means I can restart the http server from outsite the house if WF-Sections causes Apache to crash.
