Easyest way is to replace the image in the themes directory like 'logo.gif' replace it with yours using the same name.

I'm using Marcans multilang module. It works really really well using codes like [fr][en] you can make the text appear in the right lang

Which content management module for dummys?

I've been using XOOPS for quite a while and have a few sites using it, and I love it!

What I've been asked to do is setup a site for a church. The people who need to be able to update the pages know nothing of publishing websites at all. At the moment they are using frontpage, and the website looks very frontpage, which is the main reason for the change. Frontpage is very easy for them to use cause it works much like any wordprocessor etc. So what I need to know is what content management module whould you suggest, as there are so many, I really don't want to install them all to see how they will work for the users. The main problem is with adding images, and simply making text bold or italic. I think the image manager is too complicated for these users, and the use of bbcodes such as
[b][i]
would also be to confusing. They need to be able to click insert image and have it appear in the page there editing (not a url code) or just click 'bold' start typing then unclick 'bold', or be able to highlight text then click 'bold' (or italic or whatever) does such a module exist?

All the colours of PICal can be edited directly from the 'General settings' of PICal in the Admin area.

help with migration

Hello I've just moved my site from a testing site, to where it is going to be live (hopefully). But all I get now is the white screen (I've seen the white screen faq)
I've copyed the file structure and the database over to the new site. The only thing I did differntly, was there were 3 tables in the database that gave an error because of this line

KEY search( title, hometext( 40 ) , bodytext( 40 ) )


not having the (40) in the old server for some reason, so I added (40) and it uploaded the sql ok. This is in ****_bb_posts ****_bb_posts_text and ****_stories

Every thing else is the same and I have tryed all possibilities to get into debug mode, but am unable to get debug to run and unable to access admin.

mainfile.php has been updated to reflect the new database and file locations (both physical and virtual)
cache, uploads, templates_c and mainfile.php have the correct file attributes.

Can any body help

Well some how I have sorted it, I'm not sure how, but I went back to the original defult theme and updated the bits I needed to change manually rather than copy and pasting, and it seemed to do the trick

Well that was interesting style.css doesn't update either, So I thought maybe it was still trying to get stuff from my local machine, where I had it running originaly (as some images where still being pulled from there (which I had to update). So I changed the theme on the web to phpkaox, and deleted the defult theme from the web. thinking if the theme is still in the list, it must be getting it from my local comp, but it had gone, so deleteing the theme off the we made a difference, so I'm stumped again. I re-uploaded the default theme from a backup and I'm back where I was with the default theme, but unable to update it.

I think it must be sumthing in the database, is it possible for me to drop the database (or certain tables) and run the install again to recreate the tables? I'm not worried about losing user content as there is not a lot there yet, but I don't want to have to re-setup all the mods and preferences.

Hi tjnemez,

When I look at the code in theme.html and in templates_c default^theme.html, its all there as it should be, same as your code, but when you view the site its not there
