I have the similar problem with Recent News! Once I change the number of articles shown or the lenght of the title, the Recent News block doesn't show up.

Anybody has a fix for this??????

Any chances, that you change block's setting from GIJOE BlockAdmin?

It's both the same when I change the settings directly or with GIJOE BlockAdmin. Before I could use it with GIJOE BlockAdmin w/o any problems.

OK, this is an attempt to continue with the issues reported at: News 1.4 Module Release comments.

The issue is with changing preferences in the 'recent news' block - when I change, for example, the title length, the "Recent news" block vanishes.

And the same, if I change the number of articles to display.

I am using 2.0.13.1

I think it would be great if we had a team whose interest was to make a totally compliant xoops. Custom blocks are out. Everything else should be do able.

I believe if we had a special forum for posting results it might work.

We could create list of W3C compliance modules. This could motivate people to do the homework so they could make on this list.

Quote from a net:

"I am in favor for anything which is W3C-standard compliant. The current version of XOOPS isn't. Check using the W3C validator."

Is this correct? If yes, what would it take to make it compliant?

I agree. But now XOOPS should use the opportunity to promote more XOOPS. We have to do a better job at that. For example, in the recent InfoWorld article (Agust 8th, 2005)

http://www.infoworld.com/article/05/08/08/32FEoss_1.html

they mention OpenCMS, Mambo, eZ publish, but no word of XOOPS.

This has to change!!!!!

Anybody tested it?

I would like to have a multisite Website. Or maybe somebody has a different approach.

I have couple of sub-domains on the same Webserver and would like to have one login, but be able to switch from one sub-domain to the other, while some info would be kept in the central location.

Imagine a UNO Website and countries as sub-domain. Some of the issues related to UNO would be on the central domain, and country-specific info would be in sub-domains.

Lets say:

www.uno.org

france.uno.org
germany.uno.org

How to do it the best way?

I had the same problems, which is very unfortunate because I liked WF-Channel. Somehow the HTML rendering doesn't work correctly.
