Something strange on my site and its been this way for a while now.
Looks like i made an error in editing the CODE on something in CBB or NEWBB whichever you want to call it

See where its supposed to say the POSTERS name
and next to that its supposed to show the thread SUBJECT?
This is the link just above the posters information im talking about

I just went through all the skins on my site and it seems i have these links ( Poster name + THread Subject )
always showing up in a GREY color

i dont know what i did but this is an OLD issue.

I wanted to know that
If i re-download this version of CBB
unzip and reinstall it
will i loose my posts?
i would just be uploading over original files and then clicking the UPDATE button for the module

unfortunatly your host provider wont allow all 2000 emails to go out at once
with a 2k shot from your websites IP alone, you would automaticaly be seen as SPAMMING through their system

I know this doesnt answer your question above but before you get into correcting the problem, i thought i should warn you of TWO things youll encounter once its corrected.


Well... as you can tel i told you of the ONE thing
here is the second thing
As far as i can remember, the XOOPS core files are set to now allow more then 100 emails to go out at once. So even if you were able to select all 104 users lets say
only the first 100 would get hte message.


Honestly, do yourself a favor.
Set up your template files that people see when they register on your site,
go ahead and copy paste their names into a "CREATE PROFILE" page one at a time on your own..... yes really!

Each one of them will get the message saying
"We moved your profile into our new system"
(As long as you have changed the template file to say this message)

The only thing the user would need to do then is click the VERIFY link in their email
and they are in.



What you would need to copy and paste:
Username
Email address


thats it. Dont worry about passwords, just tap randomly on the keys


Now i know you dont want to hear this but when i converted over to a XOOPS site, i did the same thing
"One at a time"
Took a week to do it but it was good because people kept coming back and forth on Tuesday and noticed the people who "joined" on monday.
This time laps in registrations is was started the buzz on traffic.
Even with little content in the site thus far... traffic was running around and growing.


..then again.. i had a few pretty unique features for the visitors

When looking at my message boards index
i can see that there is a Section with SUB FORUMS

However,

i have my Subforums to show COLLAPSED on mainpage so you only see the links to the SUB FORUMS

I wonder if there would be a way to show the SUBFORUM LINKS with a # threads next to each one?

Is mashtop Publish the whole site in place of XOOPS or is it a module to be placed inside XOOPS modules?

I just tried uploading it in place of my alternate XOOPS site and it kicked out one error after another
Going to the creator website is only half available since its mostly in another language.

Anyway, i can alway remove and replace the XOOPS files and php pages so no worries there
Its not a live site. im using it for testing.

However i tried using the Mash-Publish and now i only get a BLANK WHITE PAGE
i cant turn on DEBUG info because i cant get to any links or to anything if i goto XOOPSROOT/admin.php because that also gives me nothing but a blank white page

Just gave me error when trying to upload
it wouldnt upload large enough files
then it would also give me the EDIT PIC on everyones page

and how would we find the fix?

it was asked that we use the developers website but he hasnt the time for it

also when i use the sourceforge website to track bugs or post about them
i see an extremely SMALL amount of activity towards it,
but that traffic is usually people with the same problem

no anyone with ideas on fixes
