Notifications.php showing BLANK on all themes

clicking notifications link in user menu gives me a blank white page

when i turn on DEBUG MODE i see this error at the top
Fatal error: Call to a member function getVar() on a non-object in /home/virtual/antifm/public_html/modules/extcal/include/notification.inc.php on line 18

line 18 in the file mentioned above says

$item['name'] = $event->getVar('event_title');

but im not sure that its incorrect

just to give more info

i have NEVER edited the notifications.php file

uhh hello

anyone?

I click on the Notifications link in the usermenu
and i get a blank page
this is what i see with DEBUG MODE ON

All errors (0) queries (54) blocks (0) extra (0) timers (3)
