OMG!
I am gonna smash my pc :)
ok finally it worked but..only for english characters.

The problem was that i had to allow HTML into the rss (it has an option)

Here is what i figure. If i put a Greek rss and choose ISO-8859-1 as encoding it appears the rss. Wrong but they appear!

If i choose auto detection it returns the same mistake as i said to the previous message!

So something is wrong with the ability to appear Greek characters (UTF-8).


PS: By the way if we finally manage to solve the encoding problem is there a way to create categories for my rss?

example "News from Technology", "politics" you know :)

ofcourse it help.
Just to ask about the rss module.
I install XHLD module version 3.0 (the zip says 3.07 but at the install saws 3.0..) with XOOPS 2.0.16
i try to add my first rss and it gives me the following mistake

Failed saving data to database for headline ellak
XmlParse error: not well-formed (invalid token) at line 126

Good morning. I think it’s better not to log off because all day the last week I am in Xoops! 

Ok here is what I want to do.

I want to create variable categories of news. For example 1) Althletics 2) Technology etc.

I use news module but the problem is that I want to appear “Athletics” for example at different block at different places from Technology and now I have to put them all in one.

To give you an example of what I want see herehttp://www.zortal.gr/modules/news/

Did you understand what I want?

I have the same problem with rss. I want different blocks for different rss.

Just to ask something before try. If something will go wrong is there an ability to deactivate it and return to my previous "normal" url?

First of all i had made a search before post and i found a module ( is it a module? )called ShortURLs_0.1
and a hack called Simplified URLs

I am a little bit confuse what i need to install and i don't know if this is a module or what.

Does this work for XOOPS 2.0.16 and it's modules?

It is very important for the search engines!!

ok i got along with it.

Just one question.

I install RSSC headline 1.14and the modules RSS Center 0.61 and Happy Linux Framework 1.01 (prerequisite to work the headline module).

Now i create a block and set it to right sight of my site.
The problem is i want to put other 2 rss from other sites but i don't want to be at the same position.

For example i want to put them at the center of my site.

So how can i make a specialty block for them?

and a last: the RSS Center-->Block Manage goes me to a white page! why?

i did it but i can't find the block to give access rights to anonymous users.

:( maybe it's not compatible with XOOPS 2.0.16 because even if i do what you suggest it doesn't work.

if I turn the 2 blocks of this module visible the hole site doesn't appear but a blank page!
and when i click on "recent headlines" returns a page with just this "ο»Ώ"

I was thinking to use something like this from wfchannel
module
"<script type='text/javascript' src='http://www.sitename.com/modules/wfchannel/backendjs.php'></script>"

but it must be html to work right?
