The module names are changed in the file Xoops_dir/modules/system/blocks/system_blocks.php

//$mainmenu['english']['MODULE_DIR_NAME'] = "The name you want to display in English";
//$mainmenu['french']['MODULE_DIR_NAME'] = "De naam in het Nederlands";

$mainmenu['english']['news'] = "News";
$mainmenu['nederlands']['news'] = "Nieuws";

You can find this in the readme file of the language hack

I don't know exactly what you want. If you just want to change the root of XOOPS from :Example:http://www.change.com/XoopsOld tohttp://www.change.com You only have to move the files to the new directory and then edit mainfile.php (that's in the root)
Quote:
// XOOPS Physical Path
// Physical path to your main XOOPS directory WITHOUT trailing slash
define('XOOPS_ROOT_PATH', '/data/members/paid/r/a/rainbowshaman.com/htdocs/www');

// XOOPS Virtual Path (URL)
// Virtual path to your main XOOPS directory WITHOUT trailing slash
define('XOOPS_URL', 'http://www.rainbowshaman.com');

// Database
// Choose the database to be used
define('XOOPS_DB_TYPE', 'mysql');

// Table Prefix
// This prefix will be added to all new tables created to avoid name conflict in the database. If you are unsure, just use the default 'xoops'.
define('XOOPS_DB_PREFIX', 'xoops');

So you only need to change the virtual and the physical path.
If you installed allready a XOOPS version here, then you also have to look at the name of the database and change that eventually.

The backup module makes a backup of the database, not of the files on your server.
You can also make a backup yourself if you have for instance phpadmin on your Cpanel.
I've described this somewhere else, just search for backup

Did you configure the imagemanager under preferences imagemanager? and set the rights/permission?

For avatars : default 120x120 pixels and 15 Kb. If your avatar is to big it won't work.

ftp.hypermart.net is what you use to upload your files.
The directory where XOOPS is, is something like:
http://www.hypermart.net/
So If you have XOOPS uploaded to the directory Xoops, the adres is :http://www.hypermart.net/Xoops

Well on the multilingo thing you could follow this link :
Quote:
https://xoops.org/modules/newbb/viewtopic.php?forum=14&post_id=43677&topic_id=10734

There is also a discussion going on the future implementation of multilingo capabilities.

Documentation is content, maybe because this is a 'content management site' there is little content haha.
What you can do is just download XOOPS and maybe the language zipfiles (if you need them) unzip to a folder and you will find a readme file somewhere. Just dare to go where no one has gone before and upload the whole package and start playing.

Aloha
Happy Xoopsing

Hi tjenemez,
Realy like your theme, but most of all the content and intention of your site.
I will include a link to your site but I belief that it's time for some hacking of the spotlight module, so we can put some links in it to promote a site we like.
I say this because I allready have some 100 links on my site and don't want more blocks on my front page

I encountered the same problem when I updated to XOOPS 2.05
Because I had no time to look into it, I changed the file sign.php for the moment, like :

Quote:
else
$url_v = !empty($xoopsUser) ? $xoopsUser->getVar("url", "E") : "http://www.rainbowshaman.com";

Be happy if someone finds the time to deal with this

Aloha
