After reading the above suggested thread, doesn´t seem to be what I am looking for. From what I could understand of it those multiple sites would share tables meaning I would have a bunch of sites pointing to the same content.
When I meant creating multiple sites from one core, those multisites should be unique and not share information with one another, being each independant in content and administracion of it´s modules, being the XOOPS root the 'super user' which controls all.

Hi,
I was wondering if XOOPS could turn into a multisite cms, to create multiple sites, each site having its independant modules and admin interface, with just one core of xoops.

Similar as Typo3 or as I recently found Nukehall, I´ve tried Typo, it is very complicated but seems to have a solid structure as a multisite cms, not sure if Nuke hall is as multisite as says it is, just starting to check it out now.

Am I way off my mind or could this be a posiblity for xoops?

Hi,
Once I needed an application for sales and found this one, it is not a XOOPS module but you could adapt it to your site, myads is ok also.

Check it out. it is called Noah´s Classifieds

Sorry for not using the search first, when working until real late you kind of just don´t do things the conventional way. the mind works it´s own crazy way. I´ll keep it in mind for the next time.

Thanks for the link, :). Just the help I needed

It is dumb to want to duplicate such a good a module as tiny content, which it alone can perfectly fullfill the needs of much of a content a company could need. But a client of ours has been a hassle, making us twist and turn.

I need to duplicate (clone) tinycontent, I change the .sql in create tinycontent table and put myname table. And I change everyting that says tinycontent with "myname" in dreamweaver. I put it in the server and try to install it but it still captures the original tinycontent.

I´ve done this before with other modules and it has worked right, what can I be doing wrong now? Anybody know the solution or has done this before with tinycontent?

Thanks.

PS. Wish you a successfull new year and that all dreams come true for all ;)

We use Eryxma and have over 20 sites running there. Support is really good and you get immediate answers, the system is very stable and the control panel is easy to use.

Thanks to you all, the information will be useful to me, I found important that of keeping information in different servers, using clusters and html. By the way on HTML being faster, I was investigating about I think there is a way to convert PHP to HTML. No idea how that would work with XOOPS but it´s a posible experiment I might do, if it is posible.

We plan to set up XOOPS in several Solaris Servers, conected to an OC3 and the statistics we have is of about 50,000 users that can be connected to the portal simultaneously. Is it possible to have this quantity of users connected to xoops?

Thanks for all the replies, XOOPS has always been pretty stable . Yet I am looking for more precise numbers of the extreme limits you can take XOOPS ...if there are limits. No worry about bandwith or hardware and MySql is great as a database.

1.How many users does XOOPS support being connected simultaneously to one portal?

2. How many registered users does it support?
