Your welcome , besides I´m a girl , lol. I called you man because I know you are a guy.

Well actually I think you have to give write permissions to your mainfile run the install again(the one you upload with the patch), it will just do some security updates. then make that folder with just read permissions.

cool! have a drink Friday night you deserve it

More specific??

I downloaded the 2.0.6 to 2.0.7 patch it´s .tar file. I unzip it and get 4 folders: diff, docs, extras, and html. the contents of HTML is what you upload to your XOOPS root and overwrite.

Have a beer man, take whiskey, take it easy man. Life is all about learning.

these kind of things get complicated when working oscommerce as XOOPS module.

One solution could be to use oscommerce as a stand alone application and not as a module, make a theme for it exactly as the one you have for XOOPS (to keep the same type of graphical design) , make a link to it from xoops; that way you wouldn´t have to mess around with the code that much and add to oscommerce what ever other oscommerce modules you need for it.

there could be other solutions...

Come on a nice suggestion be more intuitive take a look around in admin section >preferences > make one of your installed modules appear in your hame page or a create your own block...

don´t fear click anything

Maybe too late since Flashchat is surely one of the best, well besides xoopschat there is a Chat called Mxchat which you can download from a Mexican site here:

Chatmx

whose site has been evolutioning and now looks like this:

http://www.miguanajuato.com

a very nice spanish portal.

Just a little advice. Watch out closely who you are hosting with. We had hosting with Eryxma and it was a complete fraud, they just vanished. We have just chosen Rackforce , hope it is a reliable company. Nice to know if anyone has had experience with them.

I can see a very interesting investigation running with those who could use XOOPS as a multi-site interface.
I think something that would make XOOPS more powerful is to integrate the multiple-site configuration into the administracion panel. Having one super user with the main full administracion and directly from admin create other sites with their own database and own administracion to which you could add specific modules to each from the main super user control panel; using one core of XOOPS and one full set of modules.
